Who will win & why

Things are a bit slow on our rugby league board so I thought I would toss in a subject we would all have an opinion on.
Who is going to walk away with the 4 Nations trophy.

Well it's obvious I'm supporting the Aussies and yes I do think they can win, but I am a little worried about our forward strength when the injuries occur to the front runners, our stocks are a bit thin so I hope injuries are short & few.

The Kiwi's always perform terrific in these tournaments and seem to get stronger and stronger as the contest goes on, but I feel they are coming into this series with a few to many quality players missing through injury and will fall short.

England I think will be the surprise package, playing on home soil with home support will help and I feel the forwards will hold there own without to much of a problem and if the likes of Widdop & Reed can get a combination going with the rest of the backs they will more then cause a few problems.
England always seem to be in the game until the last 15 minutes, it was once said it was the fitness factor but I don't believe that, I think it is effort it takes to play out the entire 80minutes of a game which is required in every game of the NRL and not so much in some games in the S/League but as this year showed things are starting to level out where even the top sides have to perform or they will get caught with their pants down....

England Vs Australia in the 4 Nations final for me...18 - 26

Cheers & good luck....

If the Kiwis decide to turn in playing terms they will win, its as simple as that for me. If they don't Australia will win.
I really hope that England do show up unlike in last year 4 Nations, but i fear the worst with Steve McNamara playing Kevin Sinfield at stand off and only having Gareth Widdop on the bench for the French game, which to me shows McNamara is out of his depth as an international coach with that thinking.
I hope McNamara proves me wrong with his team selections for the 4 Nations, but i don't think he will.

Bigfella. Trust me mcnamara is a shocking coach,he would be out of his depth coaching under 12s.!
Can anyone tell me in any sport a coach losing a string of club matches ( I believe it was 13),about to get the sack and ends up with a coaching job for a national team. Unbelieveable.!!!

Mcnamara actually coached the Bulls to 13 straight losses then got the England job. That is why we will not do well in this tournament we have rewarded failure at the highest level.

On todays performance England have got a very very good chance in this 4 nations.
The Tigers coach knows Benji's defence is rubbish and Benji didn't let him down.....Sheens obviously told his big men to run straight at Marshall 2 possibly 3 tries came from this no brainer of a decision because Benji is a turnstile when it comes to one on one in defence, he is a shocker.
N-Z came back in the 2nd stanza to make it interesting thanks to Watmough and his 2 penalties where a try was scored after each infringement.......this bloke doesn't deserve a flight to England in a bloody cargo hull besides a first class seat, he constantley gives away stupid penalties, his forward mates do all the hard work in making ground and this flip gives the opposition 30-40 metres because he is a bloody bone-head..as for the pommie ref, well what a waste of space is this bloke....he let the Aussies lay all over the Kiwi's in order to slow the play down to there level and control the game instead of a couple of early penalties and opening the game up and one particular touchy needs a see&eye dog...shish there were some ordinary decisions or should I say some plays that should of been held up in the play the ball area...in the end a win is a win but I feel England will grow with confidence after watching that effort from both OZ & N-Z....cheers

the Aussies are gonna romp it again

They have to improve if what you say romp in is even close.......whilst Sheens keeps selecting that grub Watmough the opposition are always guaranteed at least 2-3 penalties alone.
