Word has it the 2013 WCC will be held in either Australia or in Dubai, the time zones between Sydney/London is bad enough as it is with-out the added burden of getting Dubai involved where it doesn't suit either country.
If a game of league was to kick off in Dubai at 3p.m of a Sat. it would be 10.00p.m in Sydney and 11.00a.m London....to suit Sydney it would have to kicked off 2 hrs earlier for an 8.00p.m but then that would leave it only 9.00a.m in London on a Sat. morning...tea & toast instead of beer & pies. But a 1.00p.m kick off might be to hot in Feb. I wouldn't have a clue, actually it would be cold wouldn't it........yes it would be bloody freezing, so that would be fine then...
Either that or kick off in Sydney @ 8.00p.m and watch it in London @ 9.00a.m the same time as Dubai.
Obviously if Melbourne or Nth.Qld etc. won the Grand/Final it would be played at there home ground to generate more crowd support......Brisbane would pack out Suncorp Stadium thats for certain....40,000 screaming fans.
Where in Sydney I don't know if it would be quite as successful.
What do you lads feel about it moving away from your home base, word has it will be for quite a few years as well where as surely year by year alternative would generate support.
So would it worry you lads if your team had to travel to Sydney or Dubai to play South Sydney in 2013 or what.....

Won't go down into the history books of great articles but something had to be written because things are very quiet at present......even poor ol'e northern can't find anything to whinge about and spit his dummy out with referees on holidays....

I'm all for playing the WCC in a neutral country if it helps spread the Rugby league Gospel.

The WCC should be played a couple of weeks after the grand finals not four months later when new players have come into the teams. Its unfair when the Aussies only have one warm up game when the SL club have played three or four games.
I also think it should be alternated between Oz and the UK.

I'm all for spreading the gospel an all, but I'm not sure Dubai is the right place........Along the lines of the South's Vs Leeds trial game in Florida might be a good place to return to every year, league has already got a small competition happening and who knows it only takes 2% of the yanks to enjoy it and that could be classed as successful in my books...after 3 - 4 years it may become an annual event for the locals and placed in there calendar of must do's...

why not play the game in Brisbane anyway? If a non-QLD team is playing the QLDers will probably turn out in force anyway. They can't lose, if the Aussie team wins they go away happy, if the NSW team loses they go away happy!
