Excellent people finally talking MMA on 606

I think Jones will rip him a new one Rampage doesnt seem like his hearts in it anymore. I just wonder who at Light Heavyweight will stop Jones?

Machida Is the only fighter I can see giving him some trouble, but even then I would still back Jones to give him a beating.

Anderson coming up to Light Heavy would be some fight for Jones

Now here is where i differ from most, firstly i do not for a second think Jones is going to hammer Rampage and for these reasons:

Ryan Bader/ Shogun he is not, Rampage's takedown defense is great and will be a big bull to try and tip so thinking Jones will have a tough time of it.

On his feet Rampage at 100% can bang with the best, fair play maybe not in the last few years but certainly more than capable of knocking Jones out.

Let's face it Rampage feels he was sh*t on regarding the Evans fight when he was supposed to be fighting for the title and was "guaranteed" by Dana that's what would happen and then TUF came along and they all fell out of bed so......in my opinion getting what he's wanted may actual bring out the real Rampage once again.

I do have other opinions on it but the one thing i do think will trouble Rampage is teh movement of Jones, if Jones is making a gameplan then for sure picking Rampage apart from all angles with extreme movement will be integral.

I look forward to the fight but dont see it as one sided as most i must say.

Andreson Silva is made for Jones, pressure wrestler with a strength/size advantage is how you beat Silva, and Jones is the best of them. Machida would struggle too, he's shown when he is up against someone he cant dictate the pace of the fight you can get at him and jones would probably be able to push that fight to his pace

The fighter who jones would struggle the most with would be Chuck Liddle of a few years ago, a counter striker with solid defensive wrestling. The closest active fighter to that is definatly Rampage. If Jones fights his usual fight Rampage has a really good chance, if he goes in with the plan to pick him off slowley at range then Rampage loses

Rampage said in an interview a few weeks ago that the only reason he is still fighting is that it pays more than acting. Once movies pay more, he's out.

Based on that AND the fact that Jones seems to heading towards Silva / GSP level of ability, think this one is a win for Jones every time
