Correct Technique???

I know this question may make sound stupid. But i only really started watching cricket in 2009.

I was wondering what is meant by a sound technique. When commentators and fans say this batsmen is technically correct. What do they mean??

Three centuries, two technically correct players, one catastrophically incorrect technique. Guess which.

Perfect technique was embodied by John 'Creepy' Crawley

Ian bell. i could watch him bat all day. Imagine a middle order of Vaughan, Bell and Sangakkara. Awesome.

a correct technique means you play shots as the textbook would tell you. this often means that you don't have a particular strong area, but rather you are strong all around the wicket.

very true neon, but i'm sure we can agree that there are also universal fundementals that apply everywhere, none of which are followed by phil hughes

A sound technique is when you are able to give minimum chance to a bowler of getting you out and yet you score runs at a good flow and pace.
