The man has slowly been destroying his legacy over the past few years, and I don't think there's anyway back for him after his column in the YEP today.
Is there a single Leeds fan who has any respect left for him?
To come out and say "There's a great chance of us winning promotion" on the back of agreeing to sell Howson is ludicrous.
He then goes on to say that it's hard to keep your good, young players when Premier League clubs come sniffing around.
It's not one of the top 6, the only reason Norwich are a Premier League club is because they went out and got a decent manager!
That manager is trying to improve his team for the Premier League by signing our midfield, even though we finished 14 points below them!
He says "As for people questioning our ambition, I say again that we've got one of the biggest squads in the division. We all expected the players to do better than they have so far, and we've had an in-and-out season to be honest, but don't think for one minute that any of us - myself Ken Bates, Shaun Harvey or Simon Grayson - aren't frustrated to be sitting outside the play-offs."
Then why on earth hasn't the manager being sacked?
It's just words, words, words!
Actions speak louder than words and the actions of the four people he mentioned are destroying the club.

AOB and one of Bromby/Bruce out- Replace with 1 CB.
Paynter- Out no replacement
That is the minimum i'd be looking to do which would trim the squad to 28 players. Would leave us with quality over quantity in the CB area which has been a massive problem since 2010 basically. Connolly obviously not in plans and will be a big ask for Thompson to remain consistent there for the rest of the season. Four strikers is enough.

Lorimer is fast becoming a turncoat, if he keeps it up he'll be very hated by the fans, including those who have supported him since 60's.
There was a time Lorimer was criticising Grayson because of what he did, didn't do and wouldn't do.
Here's the problem,
Most who work for Bates, including the Radio Station and other commodities are going to be carefull about what they say, they wouldn't want to lose their jobs or get into Bates bad books.
To a point I can understand it, to another point I can't, especially if they're suppose to love LUFC (not bates).
Chances are, it's a catch 22 situation for most of'em, or caught between a rock and a hard place.
When you listen to Eddie on Radio, you can sense he's dying to tell it as it is, but chooses his words carefully in order not to stir the pot to much.
I'm sure we've all been in a similar situation at some time in our lives if we think back, especially married men, however,
I think the baddy team consist of 2 main men, Bates and Grayson. Bates cos of what he's doing and intends to do, and Grayson cos he's doing what Bates wants, after all, that's the reason he brought Grayson in in first place, I can tell you, it wasn't to get us promoted.
Anyone who sides with, supports or condones what Bates and Grayson are doing are guilty by association (within LUFC of course).
Whatever the supporters vote is, truth is, they're both ripping our club apart and sucking it dry.

I never viewed Grayson as the bad guy, iv always just viewed him as a terrible manager.
But when you put it like that he is Bates lap dog, he's a poor manager, he's a poor coach and a bad motivator, plus he's Bates yes man, that makes him a bad guy, and anyone who supports Grayson might as well support Bates too.
Any right minded fan should want these 2 jokers out, before they kill our club!
But of course some of our residents won't hear a bad word about Grayson, they have been taken in by his fake "im a Leeds fan" talk. I'm sick of Grayson, but I guess il have to put up with him while Bates is here too.

I don't think his claim to be a Leeds fan is fake, I just think he's had a go and failed. We need some oomph back in in the club, a bit of confidence and motivation.
Reading the comments on here you can see why he is how he is!
The misery and negativity appears to be a Leeds fans trait (with a few sensible exemptions of course) and IMO we need to have a manager that is a manager of players and all things football related, not merely a fan.

Oh and on the point re Lorimer, he reminds me of the Father Jack in Father Ted or Rowley Birkin from The Fast Show!
