LIVE-ISH UPDATES

'4 Bolton goal: Terrible defending by Liverpool, this, as Mark Davies latches on to a flick from David Ngog midway in the visitors half... and just keeps going. The Reds defence cannot close him down quickly enough to stop him getting his shot away, and he prods the ball past Pepe Reina to find the bottom corner of the net.

'29 Bolton goal: Less than a minute after having that penalty shout turned down, Liverpool's defence is torn apart, again. Chris Eagles cuts in from the right without being challenged and his delicately dinked shot finds Nigel Reo-Coker running in to bury his shot past Pepe Reina. Half an hour gone, and Bolton have breathing space.

'37 Liverpool goal: Goals don't get much more route one than this (unless you are Tim Howard). Pepe Reina's long punt upfield is flicked on by Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy gallops in on goal before beating Adam Bogdan, who was a bit slow coming off his line. Anyway, the Reds are back in the game.

HALF-TIME REPORT

Jamie Lillywhite's HT snapshot: "Liverpool can scarcely have believed the two early goals they gave away, superbly taken though they were, but Andy Carroll's increasingly effective link-up play with the effervescent Craig Bellamy, plus Bolton's understandable apprehension, will give Kenny Dalglish hope that his side can complete a remarkable turnaround."

'50 Bolton Goal: Petrov's deep corner is headed back across the 6-yard box by David Wheater, and Steinsson fizzes it into the net. Is there any way back for Liverpool?

'62 Booking: Enrique

'65 Substitution: Downing and Kuyt come on for Maxi and Adam. About chuffing time, Adam's been pants.

'71 Woodwork: It's taken 71 minutes, but Liverpool finally hit the woodwork. With a fourth place finish looking increasingly unlikely, Liverpool's attempt to hit the woodwork more than any other team in history is at least still on track

'88 Substitution: Kevin Davies comes on for David N'Gog.

'90+1 Substitution: The excellent Chris Eagles goes off for Sanli Tuncay.

FULL-TIME REPORT

A very creditable Bolton performance sees them leap out of the relegation zone in to 17th. Liverpool will know they have to improve massively if they want to get anything out of their Carling Cup Semi-Final on Wednesday. Once again they looked toothless up front but, unlike previous performances, this time they defended as poorly as they attacked and were made to pay by three well taken goals.

Thanks for joining, for the love of God let's hope Wednesday is better than that tripe.

Play anything like that against city or utd your season will be over.
I'd be very concerned with another flat performance against an average side when they are always pumped up for the big games.Have you turned into Everton from last year.
Adam should give his wages to charity

No, he did really well at support striker and did well to set up a lot of (one touch) chances or through balls. Unfortunately a couple of marginal offsides and the ref missing the handball penatly meant we didn't capitalise on them. Set up the one goal as well.

He had a very good game.

Rafa is not the answer.

I really can't see how you have come to that conclusion. He was dreadful.

Couldn't hold the ball up and gave it away for fun. Lacked pace and commitment and Wheater and Knight took the ball off him when they wanted.

Torres cared more than Carroll ever has.

And that's my honest opinion vidicschin, and I'm entitled to it.

Rafa is the best thing we could do for the club.

agree to disagree then

I saw him do some rubbish things but a lot more very impressive things. I netted the two and made a conclusion.

I said it before and I was slated by you guys. Kenny has spent over 100m pounds to get you to the level of Stoke.

Roy didn't have any money to spend and Kenny did, spent it on dross and got rid of Meireles as well.

Unbelievable
