Why Gayle couldn't care less about WIndies

Bangladesh premier league are paying him $500K
SA T20 are paying him about $60K
IPL are paying him $560K
BBL are paying him >$250k
etc.

i can see many future players opting out of test cricket for the cash available in T20.

How much would WI pay him?

In a way , its good because only genuine test lovers will play test cricket.

i wont be suprised if the next candidate of opting t20s over tests or national duty is sewhag.

Viru looks like Sehwag wants to play in the middle order when 1 of the 3 experienced ones retire or dropped, good move?

When you say the individual countries leagues are paying him this money, can I take it the team he is playing for are paying him or are the countries league paying something to players to attract them to their T20 version?

Only time will tell if top quaity players do reitire from Tests & International cricket early for T20 teams and at what stage in their career.

it's the actual teams paying him, not the league but my efforts didn't go so far as to name the individual teams as some of our readers wouldn't know the country that the team was from.

Lets face it WI cricket is not the best. They arent going nowhere fast and Gayle has actually done his time playing for them.

Y not let him play so he can support himself whenre he retires?
