Having just watched the game this evening I have to ask fellow Chelsea fans if they think we would stand a chance against either team?
Over two legs I would say we would not stand any chance at all. The pace that both teams can play at and the way they close down teams when they don´t have the ball is simply breathtaking.
The only way we could beat them would be in a one off game with every bit of luck going our way, and even then it would probably be on a penalty shoot out.
Chelsea V Real Madrid or Barcelona

No we would be fine as long as we play Malouda and Kalou. Actually, maybe to add a bit of strength to the team, Mikel and Bosingwa can play as well

We need a UEFA version of Chris Foy in our favour.
We would be unbeatable!

If this current Chelsea side played 4-2-3-1 on form, with a firing Torres supplied by Mata in the free role, I believe we could beat either.
-----------------------------Cech----------------------------
Ivanovic-----------Cahill----------Terry--------------Cole
-------------------Luiz--------------Romeu-------------------
Sturridge-------------------Mata---------------------Ramires
------------------------------Torres------------------------------
Moreover, if we played this system with a low line, counter-attacking philosophy (which would work considering the pace of both Sturridge and Ramires) a win would be feasible. I do appreciate that this is dependent upon various conditions, but it is certainly within the realms of possbility.

Think our back line would be ripped to shreds by the pace and passing.

The worst team in champions league history pulled it off 6 and a half years ago.
With some flukey luck on your side and good tactics, even Apeol have a chance of winning the CL.

Never write Chelsea off, we have a habit of rising to the occasion in big games.

At that time there were no teams anywhere near the level that these two teams currently are..
The gap is immense.

I agree that backline would be ripped to shreds anyway Lampardthelegend. Cole has struggled against Walcott and Glen Johnson among many others and dread to think how he'd fare against Messi. Terry and Ivanovic are good but not the most mobile and jury's still out pm Cahill but I doubt he is a Cannavaro
