England warm-up - day two.

The game started early to attempt to make up for overs lost due to bad light yesterday.
Strauss and Cook batted steadily against modest bowling until Strauss was adjudged LBW on 40. Cook is 47 n.o. and Trott 2 n.o. at lunch with the score 95, 74 runs behind.
Colombo is a natoriously slow wicket and scoring is difficult even against average bowling.

Hazsa I think our middle order need to think differently on these slow pitches. They must think like opening batsmen and take their time, as trying to push on quickly is close to impossible.

Think they should pick 9 bowlers, Prior, and Cook. That's our best chance.

What an innings which overshadows Tendulkars big day by a mile. Wickets falling for two straight days and he stands there unbeaten on 163. He is 100 percent made in England and will be making sure we stay competitive for years to come. Let's hope some of the others pull their finger out too

Forgot to say. Ravi Bopara is the biggest joke ever to wear an England shirt, even surpassing Morgan.

BTW, can you also list the other 100 percent made in England English players in the current English team?

Yes, where shall I start, hmm how about with the entire bowling unit who are currently flattening everybody in the game? I am not talking about the four or five who are getting to play, but the nine or ten who are also waiting in the wings.
I will let you digest that before I continue. After all, taking wickets is hugely important, and as you know, India are frickin useless at that.

England have got to find a way of getting James Taylor into test cricket, he keeps getting bi-passed by other players, but i tell you he is the real deal just needs to be given a chance. Some of these other players seem to be given so many chances, so frustrating.

And there you see it Swann putting Monty to shame ? NO, they are both great bowlers and will both have their day. We are spoiled and tearing this opposition to shreds today. Great seam bowling by Andersen and Finn too.

Excellent bowling by our boys who win easily. It looks like our bowlers are primed and ready to go for the Test Match series. My biggest concern is Bell. What on earth is he doing out there these days?
