Gerrard or Iniesta (in their primes) - Gerrard (seriously he WAS a beast)
Scholes or Xavi (in their primes) - Scholes had more of a goal threat
Vidic or Stam - Vidic
Schmiechel or Buffon - Schmiechel for incredible saves, Buffon for consistency
Suarez or Bent - Suaraz better player, Bent better striker
Seedorf or Viera - Seedorf just
Beckham or Pires - Beckham
Ljungberg or Davids - don't know
Ferdinand or Terry (in their primes) - don't know

At the moment I would say he is more effective and experienced. No doubt Wilshire will become a top player a better though

Fair enough, Lucas is an odd one to me, Seem to remember people calling for his head no so long ago, but seems to have had a good season and now people rate him highly.

I remember he was hated by liverpool fans initially but the last 2 seasons he has become a very reliable player. As for peaking too early? Not really because of the type of player he is. It's like he depends on pace or creative ability, he's more of a stopper and players like that normally don't need to continue to develop imo

He was special but most of his goals were in a weaker league against weaker defenders. I think the modern game is a lot different and defenders are smarter now and better athletes
