Kenny is a very bad manager. The scouse had a deluded dream that the old dog would return win the title and dethrown the evil Man Utd. But this is a man who has always been an average manager and is now terrible. Add to that he seems like a horrible person with his defending of the guilty and pathetic interviews. He has dragged the name of a once great club through the mud and destroyed its image

To echo Shakespeare, the choice of a PL manager should not be decided by the 'yea and no of general ignorance'. 'general ignorance' being the Elizabethan term for Kop.

The thing is, Liverpool fans were so desperate for Kenny that had anyone else come in (barring anyone unrealistic) they would have been against him from day 1, just like they were with Hodgson. Kenny was really the only choice they had.

bloodred, I agree and it was that 'emotion' that has them in the dung now.

From what I understand he has a 3 year contract, so unless he resigns he will have to be paid off. More money down the swanney

LFC fans dont listen to reason IMHO. Lafa wasnt the rigt man either but look at the 'love' for him

Sad thing is I wouldnt mind LFC gettinga decent manager and becoming a decent team, reason being the rivalry with us was the best and i a weird way it would motivate the team and fans and any potential new manager we get post SAF

Without a doubt. But had anyone else been appointed, the pressure would have been huge.

Its a similar situation with the England managers job right now. The campaign to get Redknapp in is so strong that if anyone else gets it, the media and most of the nation will be against them from the get go. Even though IMO Redknapp is not the right man for the job.

Bloodred - 2 in 2 here I think in terms of agreement

I think Redknapp is the worst choice too, I think his man management skills are ridiculous, see Bent, pav, defoe etc

Like you say though if someone else is appointed and does badly it will be 'we needed redknapp'

On a side note I thought Pearces testing of the yoiungsters was brilliant, but the odds are that the media will pick the team for the tournament

Also no carrick? WTF
