You do realise the 'great' SA side lost at home to SriLanka?
The truth is all the top sides have flaws.
A few comments back crowds were mentioned......I couldn't believe how many Indian fans flocked to see India Vs Australia.....every ground played was a sea of colour and a hell of a lot of Indian ladies (mostly young) went along and sang and smiled all day long.....it was great to see.
Granted the Sachin factor would of had a lot to do with it being his last tour to OZ and the elusive 100th century.
As for poor crowds in India, it was mentioned on air how much it cost for a spectator to enter and it was something like a weeks wages for one days play. Even a Boxing Day test in Melbourne would be empty of fans if they charged $800.00 a ticket.
when did sa lose a series to srilanka? dernbach im talking about winning series. ofcourse no team is unbeatable if u just consider matches by matches. Im talking about the series.
and agreed rabbitoh, with indian fans not turning up in stadiums is due to costs and poor facilities in the ground.

With India in OZ on this last tour it was different....strange like...., obviously we wanted to win, but the fierce rivalry wasn't there between spectators with over excessive support, it was as if we wanted Sachin to do well, because he being a champion and out of sorts re; to form, we actually wanted to see him in full flight showing all his skills whilst knowing we more then likely will never get the opportunity to see him live ever again....seems strange I know, but it's just the way I found it and my mates felt the same way.
