Did we just get a wicket with Nick Knight on commentary?
I'll just blow my own trumpet here by reminding you of my post from yesterday:
Our strength in bowling is in our seamers and we should recognize that fact. Australia have always done so and have a better record then we do. Before they retired Vaas and Malinga had great success on their home wickets so there's no reason why our pace attack can't do the same. In these climactic conditions three seamers must surely be our best option.
Spurs tattoo in the crowd
That was an important wicket by Finn, not only for England but also for Finn's moral. He'll feel in the game now. I fancy him in the morning (don't take that the wrong way) because he's very good taking out the tail enders.
come on boys just 1 more wicket
Don't put it then!
You got me all excited (Don't take this the wrong way)
we have to keep them under 300 though
Think I might put the Curling World Championships on now
Good days work from England but they need to wrap this up early tomorrow to consolidate the advantage.
All bowlers played their part which will allow them a good nights sleep.
Mind you the turn that Swann got now and then will mean our batters must play with real grit.
Englands day easily. Sri Lanka batted slow today which has kept England in the game. England can't let the tail wagg again tomorrow.
Jayawardene once again proved that he is better batsman than Sangakara.
3 1 's for a match thread
Do not hope for much, England will only get humiliation in subcontinent.
Here we go with day two a very bog day for England. This session is vital for our bowlers to perform and later our batsmen.
