It's more the opposite.

Loads of people at my school don't want to stay in London even though it'll mean attending a worse uni than Imperial/LSE/UCL.

I think a fair amount of country dwellers in the South prefer London unis though based on a couple I've spoken to elsewhere.

Yeah for one of my books I'm mentioning something from the first 100 pages, and for the other I'm just describing the topic it talks about and haven't actually read the book beyond the first 15 pages.

I said I read The Worldly Philosphers (read a plot summary thing off some website) and Globalization and its Discontents (it was actually pretty interesting but I couldn't be asked to read all of it).

Any recommendations for good books? I want to link it to an economics masterclass that I went to but I can easily bs my way through it.

Also been nominated for 'best state-school academic students' which is nice. Think it was because my predicted grades before my exams were like BCC, so sometimes these things do go in your favour I guess

If the South wasn't so far away I'd be applying for Southampton, it seems nice there. If I had to go for any London uni it'd be Queen Mary's with their largeish campus as opposed to Imperial which is meant to be spread all over the city.

Nah I think it's quite good. It basically just says how Scotland didn't leave the UK because of economic doubts with me referencing the economist (I have never opened the economist in my life)

I wouldn't mind going slightly out of London eg Royal Halloway but they have no medical school.

Replace economist with a not so cliche newspaper/book/article and it'll be a bit more believable.
