You seen the interview of trump from the 90's.

He is a very intelligent man, he stood as a republican because he knew there were loads of stupid people who would vote for him.

JNR Trump doesn't want to reverse globalisation. He just wants people who would work for much cheaper wages than US workers to feck off basically.

Ye he wants more factories back in the US for American working class. Can't see it happening on a large scale but time will tell.

Probably won't have to if it gets hundreds of thousands of Americans off welfare and contributing to the economy again.

So he is going to create low-earning jobs for the least productive 0.X% of society (factory workers), at the expense of a higher cost of living for everyone. Sounds excellent.

This is the bit where Trump can prey on people who aren't too clued up on things. Unemployment has been falling since 2008 and in December was at a 9-year low. It is a fact in economics that unemployment below a certain rate is literally impossible to believe and a lot of economists think the US is approaching that limit.

JNR I agree with all you are saying.

In regards to the subsidising production costs. The idea is that Trump will increase importing costs for eg Mexican produced goods, so he won't have to subsidise the product as it is cheaper to produce in US to serve US citizens (very optimistic).

Also on unemployment the stats are so obviously distorted. The US is not a striving economy.
