Switched off after claiming "lack of technical quality".

PL all the way next season.

Just watched extended highlights of Stoke v Chelsea.

Stoke's fouling on Costa was actually worse than what United dis to Hazard.

So in that case then Oscar, Herrera did not deserve a second yellow and Conte is just another whinging Mourinho when he complains th at Unitedtargeted Hazard

Nothing to do with the media. I watched both games live. It was obvious what was going on in the United game, so much so even the ref spotted it...or did he get a phone call from the press box to keep him up to speed?

Watching the Stoke game on a live feed i did not realise the fouls were so bad, but having just watched them on TV, I can now see, as i said before, he got worse treatment than Hazard.

They can give it to Costa and take the risk, many times it will work, but as United found out it can backfire.

The better refs will nip it in the bud.

Refs are more likely to empathise with Hazard than Costa though. Costa has to take some blame for that, but it does not make it right.

But why wouldn't they give Costa that treatment though? Costa barely got a look in all game so it worked, and they wound him up and rattled his cage.

They lost so it didn't work that well, plus Costa won the physical battle and made the pass to send Alonso on his way to earning the free kick that we scored from.

Until the last two games he has been in control, and he kept a lid on it after the yellow.

There's a difference between being rough and being a thug e.g the likes of Bardsley

Fabregas is a lucky guy, Bardsley could have crippled him had he made full contact. shd have been staright red.

Exactly, its good for us because it just always puts opposition players at risk of getting a red card. Costa just needs to learn to deal with it better.

Most recent example, Hazard got it from them all vs United and he just kept going and going and going dribbling and trying to take them all on and it was just yellow after yellow after yellow until one got a red.

Costa needs to do the same, just a loose cannon
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That requires relying on referee performances though, usually they just let us get battered

In the 2-2 draw fouls were Barca 7 and Chelsea 10

And that includes JT red and Drogba Pen...

Refs in the CL rarely allow too much rough stuff. PSG got away with it agst Hazard, but that is not the norm.

In the home leg it was chelsea 10 Barca 9 fouls
