Out of the kante matic pairing kante was overwhelmingly the guy making it work so if herrera is diet kante then I'm not terrified.

agree gazza, matic will definitely free up pogba. Not that I really rate pogba.

Thing that surpised me with matic this year though was how poor he was defensively, constantly letting runners go and switching off from simple things like throw ins.

Don't know much about the Hillsborough court case but blaming police officers and club secretaries who although probably didn't plan correctly, could not prepare for the events seems a bit off.

Still stick to the fact that if football fans didn't turn up drunk, without tickets and acted like normal humans(see so many idiots at chelsea) than it wouldn't have happened.

Nick,

At least half those charged, are charged with covering part of the investigation up.

The Police made mistakes and people died.

Yes if supporters hadnt turn up drunk it would not have happened, but the people in charge were ultimately responsable.

Responsible for covering up I can understand but WW, please educate me if I'm wrong, but how can they be responsible for the masses turning up late and the events that followed.

Sad either way, going to the amount of games we have been to i'm sure you'd agree that nobody should even have a risk of not coming home.

I was suprised there was no mention last year of the fans who come to the bridge(palace) and let off some loud explosives, I think just after the manchester attack took place. I crapped myself for a split second!

btw i understand the days events and the opening of the gates etc. But again imo prevention is better than making amends. If those fans, as they did in other cup finals, didn't turn up without tickets etc than it would not have happened imo.

Would not dream of having this debate on the main board as it would turn into a slanging match no doubt.

If United really are open to offers for Martial we should make a bid. Maybe do an exchange with Matic

Drunken fans were a problem, but that in itself woudnt have caused any deaths.

The police went against protocols and made basic errors in judgement that lead to the deaths as far as I can tell.

Without those errors no one would have died that day, the commander in his position should of had better judgement.

I always feel terrible when discussing this, as for years as a kid I believed what I read in the papers, that the cause was drunken Liverpool fans.

When the truth came out and the extent they went to, to cover up their failings and use the media to blame the Liverpool supporters its appalling.

Matic would be better on the base of a midfield three rather than in a b2b role in this two man midfield tbf
