It's not really that surprising though if Emery is being moved on this summer. Conte will be available so why wouldn't PSG try to land him ? He's one of the better managers out there, certainly available ones anyway.

Not saying that Conte is of specific interest but he's a multiple league title winning manager who will more than likely be available this summer. So no big suprise if he ends up at PSG.

How would people feel if we ended up with Emery ? Seems that it will be Luis Enrique though at this stage.

It would be nice to feel that the club has some plan/strategy going forward and that the next manager will suit the direction that the club is going in. So I'm guessing a manager who can work on a budget as well as play and develop our very best young players. Ideally while still being able to finish top four.

Not sure at all the Enrique fits that description but then again I don't really know or understand the direction that the club is going right now. Maybe the plan is to have a big spend and try and play some much more positive/adventurous football under Enrique.

Would be a stupid appointment for PSG. Conte is a league manager not a cup manager and they've got the league wrapped up for next season already

The not a cup manager accusation against Conte is overemphasized. Especially when you look at the length of his club career as a manager. It's not that long. By the same logic it could be argued that Poch is neither a league or a cup manager.

Either way we're doing better in the FA Cup than in the league this season. We might even win it. Only Southampton between us and the Final.

Course there is, Jose is a cup manager now Biggish and probably the best in the world. He's tactics and formation and negativity doesn't suit or manage to last a whole season anymore in the PL the league has evolved. But in cup matches he's still the king and they still work and if he wants a result he gets the result.

No manager i'd rather have in charge of a cup match than Jose however wouldn't want him in charge of the league.

Maybe we should just hire Jose back and then have Jose + Conte as joint managers, Jose does cups, Conte does leagues
