It’s all well and good saying Willian won’t get any better. But if you don’t think he’ll improve their team which obviously helps them stay ahead of us then I don’t really get it.

Selling them nobodies would be fine, but not a quality player like Willian, regardless of whether he’s going to get better. He’s only what 29?

Also did we sign a better player than Mata when we sold him to Utd? I’d rather just not give them anyone, they aren’t the only team that will pay a big fee

We ain't exactly talking about Hazard. Willian has issues with end product and has been his least productive of all playing under Mou.

He's been good overall for us but quite frankly i rate Pedro higher let alone Hazard.

Of course we aren't talking Hazard. I don't know why you keep mentioning him. Willian. Willian is good for us. Pedro is not better, imo. Willian is a hard worker and is one of our only players that will actually take players on. That alone is huge for me.

Willian is arguably in our top 5 players, but yeah let’s give him to Utd cause he isn’t getting any better lol

The Pedro of 16/17 is above any level Willian has reached for us in my opinion, although Willy doesn't bomb as badly when off form. Another thing that goes unnoticed is assuming Sarri is a matter of when not if, Pedro is much more suited to the brand of football we are going to be playing.

I’d still keep Willian even if we signed a better player than him. Better keeping an experienced player of quality in the squad than getting 60m that we’ll probably just spuunk in rubbish anyway

I would rather keep Willian than Pedro as well, but we operate on a sell-to-buy basis.

That's why I'm not against Willian going. He isn't a starter for us and it's our last chance to get some serious money for him. I'd get rid of Pedro regardless if Willian stays or goes.

We pizzed a league title with him as a sub mainly and even our best spell last season was with the 352 in the Autumn where he had minimul involvement.

It's always been one extreme or the other with Willy re fans opinion, for ages he never got the credit he deserved but now it's gone well, well too far the other way.

There were plenty of matches where he didn't feature that we needed him badly in. Either through bad subs (so common) or through injury.

I don't have "an issue", i just don't agree.

What i mean by one extreme or the other wasn't aimed at you per se, more in general. Pre 2015 he was considered bang average, since then (the turning point was the Jose meltdown period) he's been considered Indispensable when the truth is somewhere inbetween.

And by important i rank on how much we miss them when they are out.

As good as he's been for us overall, have we ever really missed him when he's been a sub or out? Not for me. I'd say for Conte's system the wingbacks are more important, we always suffer when we lose Moses or Alonso.

I would say he's been a consistent 7/10 for his whole time here with the occasional jaunts down to 5 (start of last two seasons) and upto 9 (period around the Barca games).
