Cahill & Drinkwater will go once its dawned they won't be making the matchday squads. Hopefully they'll be open for move abroad, no need for then to be at the club.
I'm in two minds about RLC going on loan, though I'm leaning towards thinking it's the best option for his development.
It will mean guaranteed minutes in a top league and in Europe against big clubs. He's at a stage on his career where he needs to show he can perform consistently well over the course of a season. A move to Schalke will definitely help in that aim. Especially if Kovacic locks down the 3rd CM spot as his own. The hope will then be that when he comes back next year, Drinkwater and Fabregas would be gone and he'll basically be in a direct fight with Barkley and Kovacic for a CM role but with solid senior level experience under his belt.

No idea why Drinkwater stayed to be honest. Average player who should be nowhere near our lineup. Hopefully Sarri recognises that too.

January is a longtime to wait, playing next to nothing.
AC, Ampadu, Luiz and Rudiger is perfectly fine for me, competing for two CB positions.
I can't stomach Cahill or Drinkwater taking minutes away from Ampadu in defence or midfield.

Wonder what Christensen's position will be. Started off looking the real deal although not physical enough. But then post barca game was not very good at all.
Still not convinced on rudiger, and luiz will have to prove that 16/17 was not a one off season.
I’m beginning to really like Rudiger.

He lost the plot after Barca a bit, but that wouldn't help when you need a confidence boost and the managers telling the world how rubbish the squad did.
I thought he was brilliant before that however and his inclusion coincided with our defense becoming quite solid in the winter (and us losing the plot vs Bournemouth and Watford after he went off).
Loan/Sell Moses, DW and Ruben. Keep Cahill as 4th choice CB.
Kepa — Caballero
Azpi — Zappa
Luiz — Christensen
Rudiger — Cahill
Alonso — Emerson
Jorginho — Ampadu
Kante — Fabregas
Kovacic — Barkley
Pedro — Willian
Morata — Giroud
Hazard — Hudson
If it was a choice between Barkley and Loftus-Cheek.
I'd keep the latter.
Aina signed extension at Chelsea until 2021 before being loaned to Torino.

Same. Barkleys hamstrings or whatever are ticking time bombs.
"CD Leganes has reached an agreement with Chelsea for the loan signing of Kenneth Omeruo. The player is already in Madrid and could go to the Plaza Mayor today for medical. It's a free loan with a purchase option of €5m and 20% of a resale for Chelsea".

There's actually nothing between these two...and neither are likely to be on Sarri’s first 11 thoughts
