Tbh I admire Sarri’s stubbornness, although it’s frustrating. Whether it’s Sarri or someone else, we need to choose a philosophy and stick to it. Otherwise we are well and truely finished.

If we’re not going to try and win games playing Sarri’s football then it defeats the purpose of what he’s trying to achieve here. Yes it’s frustrating seeing the same like for like substations repeated each week, but deviating from this is admitting that the player’s aren’t capable of learning to play this way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought the point of hiring Sarri was that he could improve players and didn't need to dip into the market. In his own words he said the transfer market was the refuge of weak managers. The reality is that we've brought in 4 players who suit his football; Kepa, Jorginho, Higuain and Kovacic (albeit played in the wrong position). I genuinely don't think any manager, regardless of how "good" or "pure" their style of football, can afford to be as dogmatic as Sarri has been this season in the prem. As Mourinho said, this Chelsea team is very easy to analyse (and thus neutralise). A good manager makes a team greater than the sum of their parts but it seems to me that Sarri has done the opposite.

As Jimmy Floyd said after the game our midfield balance is all wrong. Jorginho and Kova together doesn't work for me either. It should be one or the other.
Kante playing alongside Jorginho in a midfield two makes more sense to me. Kante can be much more effective in the middle. (And I'm not saying he should be our holding midfielder). Just that he'd be able to help Jorginho more as well as be more effective offensively and defensively.
I'm not saying we don't need a manager with a philosophy but at the same time you need to realise that Pep has built 3 teams based on possession heavy football while employing a wide variety of tactics.

True - but there is the way you go about it and attempt to do, and he is doing it all wrong and thats why I have now got to the point where I have had enough. I have no problem with Sarriball, or Sarri - what I do have a problem with is bringing on right backs with 15 minutes left being 2 nil down, or refusing to play our starlet in a midweek training game. I will say it again you are a manger so manage. Throwing your toys out the pram like Sarri has done and then to continually blame the players inst managing especially when you play the same under performing players every week.
I even said to a friend today Alonso will cost us, and low and behold he does. Constantly out of position. Seriously we have been playing with 2 left wingers for the last 3 months its pathetic. Every match our left is punished or leaks goals......any movement to fix it? Nope. And here is my problem just a plane refusals to use everything at his disposal to wing.
And again.......my god I cant get over bringing fecking Zappa on tonight, I think if anything that cost him his job, if not turning a huge portion of fans against him, or even more against him.

I've no idea how much mine'll cost yet, my mate has it.
However, I'm not expecting to see us lift any silverware unless City have a day off.
It's just another day to meet friends, have a few drinks and see the love of my life without any expectation.
Awww I’m the love of your life? Thanks brum!
Why is Cahill not playing too? Guy was great second half of last year. Yes he’s past it but he was a fecking defender, something we need badly

Cahill would be all at sea in this setup, Cahill had a lot of strengths but mastering a high line defense with a ball playing emphasis wasn't one of them.

No but he showed enough flexibility in his first seasons to give the impression he was more than a one-trick pony. My point is that possession-based football isn't played in only one way with one formation. There are plenty of ways of going about it. In Sarri's own words he's said he only has a plan A. I don't think there's a single top team in European football that only has one way of playing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
They were an effective team that played in a way that worked in the Serie A (yet didn't manage to win a single trophy). Not all leagues are born equal. Bakayoko looked shet in the prem but has flourished in the slower paced Serie A. Just because Napoli were somewhat successful it doesn't mean their style of football can be transplanted exactly to the prem with similar success. Hence why Sarri's inflexibility worries me massively.
JTHT - Oh i agree that the problem is between the board and the manager. Like when ever you have a manager come and say I didnt chose that player and maybe they are buying me someone. It is very bad news for all involved. Like someone asked why the big hard on for ZZ, and for me it wasnt - but it was the attitude (if true) that is desperately needed at the club (as well as a DoF) but to say I want 200 million and Hazard, thats the type of attitude I want, and they type of man who I think could make Hazard stay.......under Sarri I am sorry but Haz will be in Madrid white before the end of day 1 in the transfer market.
The other question is - what did we expect from this season? We have the 5th best squad in the league, so we are at expectation really and still in 2 cups, having been knocked out of one by Man Utd who, quite simply, have better players.
Sarri hasn’t overachieved but arguable hasn’t underachieved either. He’s about on par with where this squad should be.
