Mourinho of 10 years ago wouldn't be taking numerous interviews calling out for clubs to sign him. Shows how far his stock has fallen. Stick to punditry mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Top elite clubs aren't going to want to know now. Maybe a mid table side might want to take a punt on him but you can be sure he'll still be asking for huge wages which the lesser clubs probably can't afford. Puts him in no man's land. If I were him I'd go to China or the Middle East where he still might be able to get huge wages based on his name.

2000/01 season - my first season watching Chelsea.
Aged six. Blessed memories.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was an incredibly frustrating season, thrashing United and Liverpool with a defeat at home to Charlton and a draw to Sunderland in between.
JFH and Eidurs fantastic partnership but an awful midfield. Cudicini in the form of his life but the defense Infront of him awful.
Deep runs in the domestic cups but embarrassment in the Uefa.
It felt like for every positive we had there's was a negative to override it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was the 2001/02 season wasn't it? ^
But I agree with your sentiments nevertheless.
2000/01 was when Vialli got sacked and we were midtable until about March
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah yeah sorry completely misread

He's been linked to Lyon recently, he should take it and readjust himself as a top manager again. I doubt his ego will accept that.
Arab if I was Jose I'd be tempted to leave Europe and try something very different. And then if successful elsewhere he could come back in the future.

98/99 was frustrating for me. Really think we had the team to win it that year with Utd concentration on 50 tournaments. Injuries to key players really hurt us in tight games against the poorer teams
Brum did you get Prague tickets. I forgot to get my own seat and now debating whether or not to bother as hate sitting anywhere else
Obvious wages aside I think Ramsey could have been a decent player for us.

Apart from Moscow biggest agony so far being so close to a trophy that's eluded you.
Speaking of which, imagine how much we would be scre wing about all those near CL misses in the present day had Munich not happened

No Nick, night games are hard for me to get to now because of work. Used to be great when I was in the Navy and we weren't at sea, it was only an hour up the A3 or train journey up from Pompey to Clapham Junction!

Interesting post on the shed.
Basically confirms that our attack is shat. We take plenty of shots but most of them are in poor areas from which we're unlikely to score. I don't need to remind any of you guys about how badly we've struggled for goals in recent months but it's very telling that our underlying statistics are extremely poor too (i.e. our problems aren't just bad luck/poor finishing). I genuinely do hope this is down to personnel rather than managerial issues but if that's the case then we're going to get absolutely screwed by the transfer ban.
