Spurs vs Ajax in a CL semi. Did I just shift into a parallel reality ?

To be honest it's good not to see the likes of Real and Bayern in the semis for once.

Ajax vs Pool final me thinks with Pool to win it.

As long as Spurs don't win it, couldn't bear the thought of that.

Would like to see Ajax win. Liverpool losing two finals in a row and finishing second would be damaging for Klopp’s legacy. Similarly Pep finishing second while not even getting CL semi finals would not be seen kindly, despite their brilliant seasons so far there’s a lot riding for em

Pool to win both the CL and title this season.

Oscar to go full ret@rd and announce he's only supporting Liverpool from now on.

Only joking

Defo BK, I'm 100% behind this brilliant Ajax team.

Agree that there's pressure on Pep. After last season's brilliant form much more would be expected of this City side than finishing second and getting knocked out in the CL Quarters by a team that's never done anything in CL.

With no Harry Kane for the remainder of the season and Son out for the first leg it's difficult to see them winning the whole thing. I'd say that Son is an even bigger miss than Kane at this point.

Yep, happy for Ajax to win it. They play some lovely stuff and have already knocked out two giants in Madrid and Juventus.

Would be great if Liverpool & Spurs win nothing.

Yep, Son is massive for them. They seem to play better without Kane well especially Son, he seems to have that freedom without him.

Hope Ajax make full advantage of the 1st leg.

Yeah interesting that isn't it. Tbh Kane isn't the quickest and I'm convinced that he gets a bit slower every season.

If Spurs can get really silly money for Kane this summer then there's a good argument for them taking it.

And make Son their main man up front next season.

Signing Sessegnon will compensate for losing Jay, somewhat. Untapped potential.

Son is suspended for the first leg, Kane is unlikely to be back in time and Sissoko could be injured for a little while.

They are three extremely pivotal first-team players, two of whom are their main goalscoring threats.

I am hoping Ajax will take a healthy advantage into the second-leg and reach the final.

That being said, I am unfortunately expecting them to make the final. Ajax did extremely well to dispatch Madrid and Juve, but they are both ageing teams who lack energy. Spurs are the complete opposite of that.

The prospect of Spurs winning the CL would be horrendous.

Yeah there's all sorts of ways of looking at it and I'm certainly not looking to dismiss AJ's achievements. But what happening in the HW division at the moment is borderline farcical. None of the best guys are fighting each other this year it seems. That's not right.

Right now we've got Dillian Whyte saying he'll fight AJ at the drop of a hat but we still won't get the AJ vs Whyte rematch that we always should have got this year even now that the Miller fight is off.

AJ will just fight another C-lister instead of Miller and without having read up on much of what's happened I'm quite certain that AJ won't ask Whyte to step in instead. Even though AJ has repeatedly said that him and Whyte have in his words unfinished business.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Whyte said it best

Joshua is Eddie hearns golden egg and he don't want it cracked.
The Americans are protecting wilder we well which makes it worse

But Aj has also now got himself a rep for ducking fights rightly or wrongly that is now his rep. He's not the popular fighter he once was

So for me his next opponent needs to be someone of note

Michael hunter is apparantly being lined up. A cruiser weight sized pro who has been stopped by usyk and fought no one else. It's a travesty of a fight and should not be a PPV hunter will get blown away by Joshua.

If that fight does go ahead his next one needs to be a buggy because outside of wilder fury Whyte there is no toner PPV worthy fights. Maybe pulev.

Aj should come home and fight whyte. He'd beat him and the way the division is at the minute I cant see Whyte getting to many fights

On whyte. He needs to get on with it he's chasing the money so he needs to run through a few more people imo he should be going after people like pulev Ortiz miller should he not be able to get a fight.

Fury has gone to the us to build his rep and actually get back into fighting proper it's a smart move for him he should have had the decision against wilder but I think that shot he took knocked him so he will go and beat the Ozzy and run through some of the other contenders

We are not going to see those guys fight eachother for a number of years

Looking at the guys coming up

Joe Joyce
Dubois
Afagba

These guys are animals and in my opinion look more than capable of challenging for the world titles so at some point something has got to give

You could be right there. Ajax's youthful energy advantage could be negated against Spurs. Then again Spurs are renowned bottlers so they could fold under the pressure and spotlight of a CL semi, especially with no Son or Kane. I'm favouring Ajax.

Mons I don't think there's any excuse for AJ not rematching Whyte now that Miller can't fight.

Whyte has stated categorically that he'll happily step in to fight AJ. Hearn saying that Whyte isn't ready even though Whyte is saying he is ??

It's difficult to come to any other conclusion than AJ and Hearn are ducking the really big fights. I like AJ but it's sad that he's now getting this ducking rep and fighting a bum instead of Whyte in June will only increase that ducking rep more.

Think Ajax will dismantle Spurs. They seem to have balls of steel and Spurs of course do not
