Tbf whoscored can be poor for defenders eg. Slavia Prague away Alonso had a truly awful game, he did score and that got him highest rated player and MOTM on whoscored.

Nick's point is spot on tho, he's not talking about hypothetically us gaining more points from somewhere tho, he's just saying even if we had lost with dignity to city and bournemouth instead of getting humiliated we'd likely still be 4th on GD instead we're behind Arsenal on GD because of two absolute unnecessary spankings`

I dont think uts a game where we put down a marker, its a must win game and uf we do win and then beat United too, then that might be considered a marker.

To be honest I find most player ratings to be mostly shlt.

Its either done lazily by some overworked journalist who didn't watch the match, or its a crap aggregate of all the fans favourite players.

i get higuain is our PL striker giroud is our EL striker but we could really do with a GD increase, giroud would probably score 2 or 3 vs burnley

Looks to me only good enough for a top six team to be a squad player

Although he does have decent stats
