Giroud is just very very average at everything and so very slow.

which is why he struggles in the prem, against pub teams he is fine.

no reason why tammy cant take his spot next season
or the two battle it out for the number one spot,

i dont mind higgy but i cant see him staying

id actually rather alonso up front than giroud or higgy, at least the guy can finish

Hahahaa, funnily enough I genuinely think that's Alonso's best position, up front! He makes decent runs in the box, can header and finish.

Brummie I don't disagree. I've just never seen anyone say Hudson-Odoi has only proved himself against pub teams.

I don't like to think of young players like that Gazza, I see it a necessity if we're to help them reach their potential.

I get more satisfaction from seeing us doing some of our own donkey work and watching a young player grow with us, so don't like to make comparisons between them and the experienced players.

Spent couple days in Glasgow recently. Strange place. Ibrox stadium looks like a prison. 2 min walk away from riverside you come into proper intimidating estates. City seems very low and spread out. Man:girl ratio seems 10:1. Any gyal you see are munters and got a weird shape to em. People are friendly tho but strong accents hard to understand. Not a fan

I do think Giroud signing is in part due to the ban. Don’t mind if he stays or leaves. If he’s staying it’s likely Tammy goes on loan again..which I also don’t mind.

spent a load of time in glasgow with work,

My ex colleagues were women and gay guys, they thought it would be a laugh on a night out to take me to a gay bar called the Waterloo

it was quite a fun night even did a bit of kareoke, however the gay girl behind the bar who looked like shrek, hated me like literally thought she was going to punch me.

Did not want to serve me, did not like that i was straight and loudly boo'd after i finished my rendition of "dont you want me baby" which i actually thought was pretty good.

Tbf the last person I’d wanna pįss off would be a Glaswegian lesbian bartender who looks like shrek tread carefully

Brummie at what point do you draw the line and start comparing them to experienced players? At some point any young player has to be treated on their merits and not their potential.

It's nowhere near this stage with Hudson-Odoi but I'm just intrigued as to where you draw the line.

I wouldn't profess to know to be honest Gazza. I guess you'd have to take it on a case to case basis for each player.

I'd say at least between 1 to 2 seasons though.

Giroud one month ago: "I'm not happy to play the second role. That's why I said next year I will need to have a more important role to play in the team."

Giroud today: "I am very happy to sign a new contract. I really wanted to stay at least one more year."

Glasgow is the only place I haven't been to in Scotland pretty much. Been to Edinburgh, the highlands, Galloway which is just across the border, and even the Orkney Islands.

All the girls in my school used to gas about how beautiful Edinburgh is, so went there for an open day..didn’t like it really. Everything’s brown and seems very small.
