If we decide to serve the transfer ban he has to stay no matter what the latter reaching consequences are.

Our current team without him and Ruben in it is just too weak to compete. I would rather he goes on a free with a window we can spend alongside CHO/Ruben back to full fitness and Pulisic settled than lose him now even for £100m and have to deal with Willy, Pedro and a Pulisic who will likely need time to settle alongside an average striker and the Barkley, Jorginho and Kante midfield three.

We could have 2005 Jose back and would still epically fail under those conditions. We would literally be pinning our hopes on Pulisic smashing it straight away or Tammy doing a Harry Kane.

Griezmann and De Ligt both strongly being linked with Utd. Both exactly the sort of players we should be signing this summer if we had people in charge of transfers who really knew what they were doing and no transfer ban of course.

They're too big a name and too powerful for that to happen imo. They can afford a season or two in the wilderness. Aren't Real financially backed by the Spanish government anyway ?

Real Madrid meaning Royal Madrid in Spanish. Would be like us having a Royal London team.

Hopefully De Ligt doesn't end up at a PL rival. He'll strengthen whoever he goes to and can even get much better than he already is.

I do find it quite weird that there's no team with London it's a name (well not a pro team).

In all the other countries you have Lisbon, Real/Leti, Hertha Berlin, PSG etc but nothing in England.

If it has to be any i hope it's United.

They make us look like the best run club in the world so any impact he has will be diluted somewhat.

Can you imagine Utd with Griezmann up front and De Ligt in the heart of defence though? Then factor Poch inevitably going to Utd sooner or later and you have a potentially very strong Utd re-emerging.

They said that with Pogba and Jose and look how that turned out.

Long long term they will always be up there but with their current state it will take a few years even if they managed to stick Matthaus and Pele into a time machine.

Jose was shot when he went to Utd though. If they're able to bring in Poch at some point in the next season or two (and I think they will) then it will be a game changer for them.
