So it looks like Sarri might actually be going to Juventus (or his agent is doing one hell of a PR campaign on his behalf). I have absolutely no idea why Juventus think he is potentially the right manager to win them the CL but it's their choice I guess.

I wonder if their fans want to see better football played ? Haven’t come across Juve fans say it but I could imagine that feeling being around the club

Kovacic.

That’s kind of cheap. Was Expecting RM to take us to the cleaners with the asking price considering he’s the only midfielder we can sign.

They will be playing different positions. Kovacic will be cover for Jorginho and Kante.

Would be typical to sign Kovacic for Sarri and then end up with Lampard as manager.

why waste 30-40 million on a "cover player"

Because 30m is the new 5m and if we have a ban its between Kovacic and Bakayoko or Drinkwater covering for those two positions I think it can be widely agreed Kova's the best option.

Plus his best performances have come playing LCM (ala where there's no real expectation for a serious return of end product) admitedly against not as great opposition.

Its excllent money fir a utility player that can be trusted to play in any of the three midfield positions and we shd sign him for that. People moaning all the time that we dont rotate or rest players enough. Well Kovacic is the answer to that abd will allow a manager to give mire recovery time to players.

Fabio Quagliarella proves age is just a number as the 36-year-old finished the season as Serie A top scorer ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Sampdoria veteran has been sensational this term and claimed the top-flight golden boot with 26 goals, five more than his Juventus rival. Despite winning the league title and Player of the Year, it represents four consecutive years whereby Ronaldo has failed to finish as the top scorer in his league.

Kovacic's versatility makes him useful.

Though if Lampard is taking over, I'd very intrigued to see what he does with Bakayoko.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He would sell him. He made it clear he does not rate him when doing punditry y.

That is very impressive indeed. Just shows that these days players in their mid 30's can contribute a lot and not just be squad players.

Didn't Quagliarella score a screamer against us a few years ago?

Sarri's stock is still quite high in Italy so it's no huge shock that Juve want him. There's not exactly a lot of other obvious candidates with Conte going to Inter and Pep turning them down. They could have gone for Jose I suppose if they wanted to take an enormous gamble.
