Bats to Palace and Zouma to Everton...

I can see Frank wanting to keep hold of Zouma though.

If Everton make a sizeable offer, I think Zouma will be sold.

Unwise to let his value decrease due to warming the bench. Sell while he still has high monetary value.
Same applies to Alonso.

"Exclusive: refs chief Mike Riley on steps to ensure VAR won’t ruin Premier League, including

- no reviews on pitchside monitors
- VARs won’t rule if keeper on line at spot-kicks. "

I do think that JTHT 's suggestion of an equivalent of' umpires call' for micro tight offsides is worth exploring further.

There was a really good discussion on this on the Guardian Football Weekly Podcast last week. Was glad to hear that I’m not the only one who doesn’t like the current interpretation of the offside rule.

Kovacic.

On the podcast they agreed that the rule should be changed to if any part of the player is onside then the player should be ruled as onside. That’s much more in keeping with the spirit of the law.

Wouldn't a system like in Tennis more suit than this constant stop start? ie a team get two challenges per game but if they do it falsely they lose one.

Although that said that could end up causing problems late on in games where the winning team will challenge decisions just because to run time down knowing there's not much time left, or a team who conceded a last minute goal will again challenge if there's even the remotest chance of a loophole because there's nothing else to lose.

Move to Burnley (?), must be close for Tomori.

Can't stand to watch a game. Too start stop. Made even worse through challenges. Maybe better to ask a fan.

If we raise £300m this window (which is possible) and combine it with our typical summer budget we could have £400m to play with next year.

Should buy Mbappe
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will we have to spend the money we raise this year before the end of June? (so it goes on this years FFP budget sheet)
