It's the nightmare scenario that I feared would happen if Sarri had stayed (w/ Hazard leaving). I knew Pulisic would take a while to get bedded in so there was a high chance that pairing would've been our starting one.

Fortunately we have CHO and Mount to play on the wing but a couple of injuries (like on Tuesday) and that pairing will rear its head again.

Interesting points that Emenalo rejected moves for Gabriel Barbosa and Richarlison (at time of moving to watford) in fears it would block Tammy’s pathway. Also noted that even with Tammy’s loan at Swansea being perceived as a ‘flop’ (imo the reason many weren’t excited about him this pre season and first few games) he still got 5 goals in his first 10 games there..sighs were there.

“So I think it helped his overall game that we played him in multiple positions. Particularly in the 15 to 18 age groups, he played as a winger on the right side quite a number of times.”

True, seems weird looking back. But was testament to his all round enthusiasm and hard work, always wanted to be involved
