A bit simplistic but we lack the invention and guile to create chances against teams that cede possession and sit deep. Playing the majority of the match in the opposition half appears to be detrimental.
Especially when it doesn't lead to a significant defensive advantage.

Okay someone tell Lampard
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And sack him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't want Lampard sacked. I am expecting him to get better every season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither do I...just being facetious
Have you encountered anyone that seriously feels that way?

That adds up to 100 percent so we'll be just fine
I want us to try Jorginho and Kova as a midfield pair again.
Haven't looked anywhere near as good since that partnership was broken up.
Did feel Jorginho and Kovacic were building a decent partnership and understanding in the midfield when Kante was out injured

It isn't a big sample size so it may just be (bad) luck but our win percentage without Kante this season is in the 70s and with Kante it is in the 30s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Needs many more factors like opponents for example
Difficult to leave your only world class player out of the side though
Kante imo, is our only world class player. Makes little sense to sel hi

Only just saw this by the way. And I only watched the 2nd half.

Reason we're not good at set pieces, is it just mainly down to the fact our players are not big enough.
If you look at our team, it's generally small and lacks physicality/height compared to the opposition.
Rudiger, AC & Tammy only players 6ft or over. And even then AC isn't the most physical.
Plus Kepa as we know isn't the biggest for a keeper and will tend to stay on his line.

I’m not sure why Kante & Kova hasn’t quite worked as a pair yet. On paper it is probably our most balanced midfield

I don't think have played that many games as a two?

I know the climate change debate is highly divisive, but whilst I am not religious, I can't help but fee we are heading towards a modern day Noah's Ark scenario sometime this century

I like Jorginho and Kovacic a lot, but I remain unconvinced of them as a future starting pair, despite them having the best chemistry of any of our midfield pairings.

Lampard appeared resigned in his post match comments yesterday to needing to sign new payers. I wonder if we are more likely to panic buy now?
