Ruben and Pulisic will save our season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruben has been a huge loss this season. Don't think a lot of people realise just how much. But I'm not sure we see him play much or even at all in the remainder of the season. I'd consider just letting him play U23 games and then slot him straight into preseason.

Pulisic will make a really big difference when he comes back. I don't think it's a coincidence that our crap form has happened during Pulisic's injury. Really we needed him getting injured as long as he has like a hole in the head. But that's what happened.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
RLC already made u23 appearances I thought?

And all these injuries are making me think what Frank is doing in training, so many injuries, especially to the younger players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah as far as I know he's already played for the U23's. I was just saying that I wouldn't mind keeping him there for a while and give him time to 100% overcome his injury before we throw him into the lion's den of the PL.

Just me being overly cautious. Kind of feel this return to fitness is make or break for Loftus-Cheek's career here though.

Depends, If we somehow beat munich, I think we could very much use the lift he'd bring us.

In our winning run earlier in the season, Jorginho and Kovacic had a really good understanding in midfield together.

We're going to need that again now that Kante is going to be out for some time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jorgino had a good spell, and kovacic has been good this year, still kante is our best player, and we are a better team with him in imo. Even monday night, kind of fell apart when he went off

Still think we did alright without Kante in the United game. They never had any counter attacks of note, it was just set pieces/crosses that were our usual downfall defensively. Going forward we just have incompetent players who are either lacking confidence or just crap.

I like Kovacic, I think he's excellent. If he could improve his play in the final 3rd with either a killer ball or a finish, he'd be up there for me.

I find Jorginho a limited player but he has his qualities. Think he's been poor in recent games though.

If Cho or Puli were available I'd pick them ahead of Willian.

Yeah but with three CB's behind him then it might work, with one of the three CB's stepping into midfield to help out and add numbers when needed.

Maybe not. Lamps will start him against Spurs though whatever we say here, especially with no Kante.

Ok 4-3-3:

Kepa
RJ Rudi Tomori Emerson
Barkley Jorgi Kova
Willian Giroud Mount

Yeah agree Barkley in a midfield 2 is a disaster, he's got no discipline to play that role.

I'd be surprised if Azpi is left out, seems to play every game.

I favour the 3 at the back vs Spurs, they struggled to cope vs Leipzig yesterday who play a 3 at the back from just watching the highlights.

Nick, just for you a 3 at the back formation with no Willian:

Kepa
Azpi Rudi Tomori
RJ Jorgi Kova Alonso
Barkley Mount
Giroud

Huge lack of pace in that side.

Willian and Mount were excellent vs Spurs in the away game, I'd stick with them.
