I dont think he's scapegoated at all, atleast not as much as kepa has been, mount, alonso, pedro.

I think People just comment onp performances. citing scapegoating as a reason for calling players out on poor performances is not what I believe people do, well not on our board anyway.

Fact of the matter is willian has a purple patch each year and is top class, the rest of the time hes fairly average to poor.

Willian now has no goals in his last 9.
2 goals in his last 20.

Not to say he hasn't had good games in that time though, beginning of season he was fantastic, and even when his goals dried up his perfromances were good. But hes been very poor of late

Its a shame because he got about 5 in his first 15 or even less this season as well as some assists. I don't know what it is with him, Its not like hazard where he'd score 1 every 2 or 3 consistently. Willian will score 5 in 5 then not score all season

Na lets not get it twisted, willian has been a decent servant (hate that word, i mean footballers get paid millions). And has been a solid player for us. But the last 3 years or so its been purple patch for month or two and then mediocrity. Him and pedders should both go in the summer.

It's not his goalscoring record that gets to me but when he goes past a defender and then stops and tries to beat him again and inevitably he loses the ball.

yeah hes frustrating, people talk about this pace of his, but we only see it twice a year, very rarely skins someone regularly.

Willy has been sketchy this term....but no fackin way do I want him going to somewhere like $puds, in fact especially $puds

I'll be very miffed if this happens...or is even spoken about seriously..

I reckon you are right but I would prefer Tomori and Barkley to start in place of Azpilicueta and Willian

Willian's shlt scoring record for us has always baffled me. It shouldn't be that low when you consider how good he is with ball at feet and his pretty good shooting ability (as seen from freekicks).

There's a deficiency in there somewhere because he's a player that should be scoring 15-20 goals per season in all comps. Just never happens though.

For all the talent he has he should be scoring a lot more goals every season but I can understand why he doesn't score more, my biggest complaint is whenever he goes past a defender and stops giving the defender time to get back into position instead of either driving into the box or crossing the ball really drives me bonkers.

A bit late to judge Willian on his scoring record. He brings so much more to the game aside from scoring. It's an nice addition to his all-round game when he does give us a goal.

However his sprint at 400 mph through the entire pitch to only stop and let the defense get settled before deciding what to do...that has gone on long enough and isnt going to change. Time to move him on based on that alone.
