Lamps has been very involved in the signings so far Im reading

Has reportedly far more say in the process than Conte or Sarri did (which makes sense, despite his experience Roman probably trusts him way more - apparently the story goes he approached Lampard about whether we should sign Ballack all those years ago)

On top of that he has personally flown out to pitch the project to Ziyech and Werner. Even if these are club picks - as Im sure Gazza will soullessly remind us - Lampards stamp of approval and involvement is all over the deals.

I think we would have got around £30m from Milan originally if not for his bust up at the end of the season.

He seemed to be well liked there until that point.

I remember reading an article from the BBC's corespondent guy during the bad patch we had after our winning streak earlier last season saying although there's a acknowledgement approaching Lampard when we did was a risk, there's a genuine desire within the higher ups at the club to make this work.

We shouldn't take for granted the fact the board currently appear to be on the same wave length as a fanbase, the only other significant time that's happened under this ownership was bringing Mourinho back. It's nice, savor it while it lasts

well we will spend close to 250m this summer

i am convinced kai havertz is all but done and in the same breath im just waiting on the announcement of delcan rice,

tagliafico/ rugillon
Onana
Rice
Havertz
Ziyech
Werner

lets not forget outgoings as well to raise the cash

thats 6 big signings to create a core of talent

then i think we go back to the one in one out model
