Kante and Silva both looked a little off it and my guess is both stil suffering the effects of Covid.
Finishing 5th is going to be such a mare.
Once again we play crap and City barely beat us, especially with big players missing. Not really that impressed by them in individual games tbh, their consistency is what puts them ahead of everyone.
Confident we’ll get payback next season.
Also Lukaku still looks such a poor fit for the team. Couldn’t really hold up the ball at all.
And when he ran in behind was almost always ignored.

Yeah Mendy definitely saves that.
Kepa good at close range saves but he’s never improved from range. Footwork is all wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Mendy would have reached that, especially with his vastly better reach
There will be no top 4 battle, we’re still miles better than the likes of Spurs as we’ve seen.

Yep it's so depressing watching Costa goals on fricking Instagram
Even Kepa would save it if he didn’t take the first step in the wrong direction.
I think the athletic did a piece on it last year and it’s a habit of his, which leads to him letting in saveable shots.
Gonna need to do some serious thinking about the attacking players in the summer. The only one I’d trust is Mount, even with his patchy form.

Surely a GK coach should have done something about this by now. It’s not exactly been hard to notice.

Most of our players get ignored when making a run to be fair. Happens a lot with Werner

Ok I thought this was me noticing this but no, and basically except for corners and in the box I feel he is bad with his head, and always misjudges or easily gets bullied off them
Lukaku really killed his momentum with that interview.
He was our best player for two games in a row, then missed the next one where he might have scored a winner, then upon his return again he’s not been good.
I see yet another team got a nice postponement hand out. Must be nice.
Fkers sent a midfielder on loan when they knew two were leaving for AFCON and still get their way genuinely pathetic
Disappointed but it's obviously City's year. A season too early for us to compete with them. I'm expecting us to mount a serious title challenge next season.
Especially after a summer transfer window where we strengthen at wing back options etc. Also bring back Connor Gallagher.
As for this season we have the League Cup as the most likely trophy and let's see what we can do in the CL to defend our trophy.

Yeah it’s a joke. It’s 100% their own fault that AMN and Xhaka aren’t available.
They could field a decent team v Liverpool midweek but not tomorrow?

100%
I wouldn't be sad to see any of them go (bar Mount). And that includes Lukaku - really not a great fit for the team. Our best football last season came when we pressed with intensity high up the pitch. And that's just not Lukaku's game.
Our transfers in attack have been genuinely atrocious over the past 5 years. £300m+ spent on Pulisic, Havertz, Ziyech, Werner and Lukaku yet we still haven't managed to find any serious consistency up front.

For a big guy you at least expect him to win one lol. I think even Pulisic would win a header from one of those long balls.
Pulisic was at least the real deal until his FA Cup injury.
But Ziyech, Werner and Havertz are examples of bad scouting. They’ve all had good moments and the CL win is priceless. But none of them have shown that they’re as good as the price tag would have suggested. And I don’t expect a big boom between now and the summer to change my mind on that. Inconsistent at best.
Kepa - 6
Alonso - 3
*Rudiger - 7
Silva - 6
Sarr - 5
Azpilicueta - 5
Kante - 5
Kovacic - 7
Ziyech - 3
Lukaku - 3
Pulisic - 3
I am going to watch some Hazard clips from the past to cheer me up....

He's a flat track bully and always will be. I've never been convinced by him. Big games, I'd prefer we leave him out
