BK - The price really means nothing. Porto will obviously want top money for him since he is arguably their best players. It's the same as saying that Fulham could easily ask for 25-30M for Dembele. That's the way football is today. Hulk is a quality player who you think is overrated mainly due to the price that Porto want for him. Who would you suggest (who has the same or there abouts the same, stats as Hulk since he joined Porto,at roughly the same age,for much cheaper?).

*One of their best players.

Basically in a management degree, you look at all the aspects of business' and company's in much broader detail rather than focusing on a specific sector like Finance or accounting. If you combine that with economics then it has more of a focus on the maths side of business using graphs and formulas

Dzeko will be gone come thè end of the summer, and that just leaves Balotelli. He cost £17m, about right for the impact he's making on the squad. That is true. But I really don't think he'd be an important player for us if he came next season. He may score goals and assists, but then so would Sturridge, Moses and Marin. All we want is goals from our new signing we could just go out and get Hernandez. Tbh I will be surprised if Hazard doesn't have a big role to play in the team this season.

I'd say having Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, and Marin is already a very good set of options, and even though me and you don't rate him as a RM, Ramires for big games. The need for yet another new player here is nearly negligible for me, espiecally with such other pressing needs in other parts of the pitch.

Hmm.

On one of the Chelsea forums that De Rossi and his agent are in talks with other clubs, other than Man City.

Steve - Cavani, Neymar(about the same price), Remy, Jovetic, Doumbia, Mertens, Damiao, Muniain, Pato etc.

Balotelli is great. You should sign him.

BK and Mancini was looking to get in Van Persie and if reports are correct Falcao or Cavani to replace Dzeko. Meaning one of them would have to sit on the bench. It just means they have a competitive squad which is exactly what we need. And now we're just getting into opinions, i think Hulk would be important because we've spent a lot on buying potential and we need some experience and someone who's near the finished product.

You say the need for new player in that position is negligible, then why would you get Moses? Tbh it's just something i don't think we'll agree on. It will only take seeing Hulk in a chelsea shirt performing to convince you

Cheers Don. I'm just wondering if I should apply to Oxford. Initially I had no intention to but all my peers/teachers have been encouraging to me and I'm having a last minute change of heart.

What we really need is someone who can do for us what Pirlo done for Italy at the Euros!

Steve maybe we're deciding to go for a cm now?

BK - Cavani i don't think we would get for 32M. Closer to 40M. Neymar no chance at 32M. Mertens? lol Not as good. Jovetic, possibly for 30M. Although i'd be surprised.

Other one's i would go with. Although Muniain has less goals and assists. But younger.

Oxford to study economics? It's going to take a great personal statement and grades to get you in there, but if your teachers are confident...then why not?

If it was me though, i definitely wouldn't consider oxford. Mainly because i want to mix the hard work side of Uni with partying etc and at Oxford it would probably just be hard work most of the time

Damiao is costing upwards of 30m, Pato is injury prone

Don - Hard to say. If McEachran goes on loan and we sell Meireles, and i suppose Malouda since he can play there,i would be very surprised if we didn't.

The only midfielder we have been linked with quite a bit this window was Sergi Roberto.

But after the links and rumours they still just have Aguero/Tevez/Balotelli. Which is already more than enough on its own.

You said earlier that we would have Moses and Hulk and someone else for a complete squad (or it may have been Obers) so I assumed it was Hulk on top of Moses. Even with no Moses I still don't think the need if enough to warrant such a expensive signing that I personally don't think (know you disagree now) would get in the side. Fair enough Don - or unconvinced you

Don my grades are solid but that's about it. I haven't started my PS and I have NO knowledge about management. Also most people who apply to Oxbridge negin preparing months in advance; if I apply I'll have little time to practice for the test and interview.

Plus I'm lazy and would probably not fit in.

However the mentality that everyone is trying to convey is you have nothing to lose sort of thing which is why I'm reconsidering.

True Steve and factor in the worry of Essien getting injured too and we'll look thin. Still think Fellaini or Dembele would be great, but we'll see i guess.

But it shows Mancini is still desperate for a striker meaning he'll have 4 there who are all big prices. Had Rvp not had his heart set on United they'd have had Aguero, Tevez, Balotellli and RVP and now compare that to us

I was only saying Moses and Hulk if we sold sturridge lol

They've got to be more than solid if your teachers are confident of you getting in? Management is very easy, it's basically the same thing as business studies. If your good at economics then it should be basic stuff.

If you have a safe option in there which is still a good uni, then i guess you do have nothing to lose. Still got another 4 options if you pick Oxford

Don - I think we'll try to maintain Ess as best as possible. Play him sparingly. Can't see Everton letting go of Fellaini now that Rodwell has gone. Not this window anyway. Plus i forgot about Tiote. Weve had quite a bit of interest in him. Can't see it happening though.
