Its about who you know Nole..
Getting them is hard - and will be even harder this year methinks with the Olympics up shortly afterwards.
Are they relaying the courts after Wimby? or hoping this brutal weather will continue and revive the Grass in time?
Went a couple of years though a mate of my Missus who's parents are members and say Birdo knock out Davydenko (where has he gone?).
Good luck..
I would have given advice. But you like Djokovic, and to me, he and Nadal are poison.
if you know a member it's easy.....if not why don't you queue with the tourists and get the returns
Because I'm not a tourist !
I may have to end up doing that in the end, but will try to fish out a single debentures ticket first. There is one going but it's for Tuesday and I know Nole will be out on Monday, so I want to see him, rather than Nadull....
i would try and help ya out bud but if i do i think i will lose ma job soz
btw luved ya comment on apple tango haha!
oh, don't lose your job on my account Leeds!
If I don't find a reasonable Deb ticket, I may feel adventurous on the day and just venture into the queue & try to bribe someone at the beginning of it
From what I saw last year, 90% of people there didn't even know why they were in it
I can believe that, it's a British thing, we see a queue and feel obliged to join it!
i loved queuing for it 2bh as i just love wimbledon so much, something we differed on i believe as you preferred the US Open right?
I am working 14 hours a day and only get 1 hour off!
so gutted thought i would be able to see more tennis!
yes, but the thing is THAT queue is well tucked away from passers by
anyways....
I should be happy just to stay at home and watch like that, except when I know all the action is going so close and yet so far, it just drives me MAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!! and I feel such an urge to be there
TBH, I got pretty traumatised last year, and I need to get it out of my system.
NITB - As you know I have CC tickets on the first Monday. I'd be happy to let you have a set or 2 of the Djokovic match if he plays there. What you woudl need is ground tickets though to get in.
I didn't know you had the CC ones !!!!
I'll try and get myself the ground ticket if I don't get anything else in the meantime.
Does Nole play the first match as a defending Champ?
ye they play first the defending champ. remember in 09 nadal was supposed to but when he pulled out feds at no2 opened precedings.
I'll tell you what, Ten, I may get a set of debentures for court one as they are a lot cheaper, that way I can see both courts or swap with you esp if Fed ends up in Nole's half as usual....
I've sent a message to someone on Gumtree, so should get hold of one !
Yes with my wife too. Let's call it a menage a trois!
The way my luck runs at Wimbledon, there's ll be a tube strike and I'll have to walk there from Paddington, be late and then walk all the way back
Is your wife French, too?
so you guys are going on the first monday?
i will yell out 'noleisthebest' :P and 'tenez'!
and you can see me in all my glory in the tiny lil apex building by court two ....
Yes she is!
We will come and visit you Leeds . I'll be there the second Monday too but so far only ground tickets.
