Leiva

We have always sold our best stars but have always managed to compete

Overmars
Anelka
Petit

just to name a few in the early days, so dnt make it out to be a recent thing. Also, i really don't think a capital one cup and 8th place finish would have tempted any player in europe.

Not business wise.

---------------

Is this the FTSE League we're watching or is it football?

Care to explain how it been good business for you?

Obviously brings in tmoney for you but year after year losing your best players...not winning trophies on the pitch....

"We've won some good youth trophies in the last few years, maybe we should start boasting about them too "

The youth team wins more tophies than the first team

He may be talking about Arsenal Ladies.

Nothing wrong with the Women's league. I'm sure some of our ladies could outclass a lot of your men.

I am being more accurate if you don't get it. Money wise. Its all about money you know.

Even Oxford and Swindon have won the league cup. Don't know why Liverpool fans bang on about it so much.

So how has the money helped you over the last 7 years?Has it allowed you to keep your best players? Has it allowed you to win trophies?

All this trophy talk is boring. I don't watch football to watch my team win trophies, I'd rather see decent football week in week out, watch my team win games and enjoy the social with my mates. Going on about past trophies won just smacks of glory hunting.

A Swansea fan who gets what it is to have good football, naturally. Good man

Our philosophy has always remained the same and we have won major trophies and are still very much competing for trophies.

CL in 06
league and cup in 07/08
league cup in 10/11.

Ok we came close but didn't win but we remain competative while making huge profits and finishes above a club like Lfc who have spent a fortune on flops bar suarez.

When you can be slightly higher up the table and win even less.

Harsh but true.

Christopher Moltisanti, when you're a club like Arsenal and Liverpool then winning trophies becomes an expectation for the supporters, perhaps wriongly but it does nonetheless. We naturally want to see good football and watch our teams win and we want to just enjoy the sport. .

One of my favourite seasons recently was the 2008/09 season. We played great football, only lost twice all season in the legaue, challenged the league but didn't win anything. I still saw it as a good season, so winning trophies is not the be all and end all.

Not winning anything for 7 years is frankly embarrassing though for a club like Arsenal. .

huge profits, qualify and remain competitive.

These should be the new words under your club badge.

Embarassing what I'm hearing rom Arsenal fans.

At least we are not in debt like Liverpool. You can't even afford a stadium with sugar daddys money. We built the stadium with money from our own success.

Now you are tapping Dempsey. tut tut

Liverpool finishing 8th place behind everton and not winning the league in over 20 yrs. Now that is humiliating.

You missed a thing though. Quality players. Some you have no clue about.

Quality players that leave are no good to you.
