It`s a complete feccccking nonsense. The sort of team put out today, is the very sort of team that has taken so many hammerings from any half decent club over the past few years. It`s not rocket science to know this sort of team simply is not good enough.

Don't think people are so much as having a go at bentaleb (well certainly not me), just the usage of him. Wouldn't have thrown him in vs arsenal or man city personally as that's a massive learning curve.

Exactly I'd picked the games better for him to play.

Bentaleb definitely has potential but im worried that at the moment he gets out muscled in central midfield.

When you look at the player for the opposition team in the same position Gareth Barry is much stronger and far more experienced.

I just hope our other two more experienced centre mids help him out.

Afternoon all

I want to see us start with the same intensity that Liverpool showed yesterday but doubt it'll happen.

This isn't just Everton, it's Martinez's team too, and we all know his old club Wigan were one of our bogey teams…

Bentaleb will sit and Paulinho and Dembele will bomb forward.

Aside from maybe Townsend and Sandro, that is a strong team we have out today,
More than capable of winning the match today.


Sure we need reinforcements in a ST, Winger, FB & CB, but that can be dealt with under our new gaffa Will hopefully shift Siggy, Chadli and Capoue first and foremost in the summer.

Anyway today's game, Tim hasn't got many other options, the right formation for me - 3 in midfield - and as its been said, we are only 2/3 players short of our strongest XI
