Nothing wrong with our mentality. Simple fact is you can't win every game.

Just need to make sure we have a good transfer window. Levy should be looking at new signings already.

Our mental strength has been great. Shame we lost it tonight but no one wins them all, just look at Chelsea v Palace.

Yes.

I'm surprised by the lack of talk about poch and his subs.

They was so strange it was unbelievable what was happening. It was like the pressure got to him and just randomly threw players on without taking into shape or tactics.

Verts was our only decent defender yet got taken off ( not seen anywhere about a injury ) Dier going into his position and suddenly we had little balance then takes Waynama off for another striker leaving a already poor blanaced defensive even more exposed.

For me he should have gone Dembele > Dier as a straight swap or Dembele > Son and changed to a 3421.

The second one would've balanced the team out more defensively but meant we was short up front.

At that stage we had 25 mins left so no need to panic.

Then if we got to 10 mins left and still down the take off a 3rd CB for Janssen.

All in all not great by the players or management yesterday

The subs may have seemed a bit odd I guess but it didn't look like it would matter. The intensity was just never there for us. Maybe a combination of complacency and West Ham upping their game 1000%.

Still, I firmly believe we'd have won had we taken that chance in the first half.

Agree if Kane scored we'd probably won easily.

Just think the subs especially the first one hindered us more than helped.

I agree that the first sub was beyond stupid. I kind of get wanting to keep the same formation and leaving Dier on as his tackling was superb. Yet surely Toby was the smart option as Vertonghen is having a better season and the Verts/Dier partnership is better than Ald/Dier.

Didn't mind the second though, sometimes you have to just go for it. Tim Sherwood was notorious for comebacks and he played equally ridiculously attacking lineups

Agree second one okay with 10 mins to go but it's the first that really hindered us.

Janssen actually did okay, held the ball okay and got a ball through to Dele for that cut back.

Trippier was just pointless.

Think I'm leaning he should've changed formation Dembele for Son.

All ifs and buts though.

There's no way Chelsea will lose or draw that game.

We were never going to take full points from all these fixtures we had. They are tough fixtures. West Ham away is a hard game. They beat us last season and completely outplayed us. Leicester and Hull away will be hard too.

The fixtures have worked so much in Chelsea's favour that the idea that there was ever a title race seems laughable now.

Is it just 1 more point for second place?
