Well said. He really is a frustrating player but his stats are excellent, especially for a youngster. I’ve been critical of him but you can’t argue with that.

Wow ! What a stat

Dele might not have the all-round contribution or involvement in the game as a more classic number 10 does (more of a playmaker than a goal scorer), but the game has evolved and both can work in the modern game. I’m probably more impressed with his assist numbers when you consider he doesn’t take set pieces which can pad them out.

Dele is a excellent player and a key player for us.

His numbers are extraordinary and I really believe if he wasn’t English he’d be much more appreciated

Personally I don’t believe it’s down to him being English, I think it’s more due to other factors such as his demeanour on the pitch such as that slightly confrontational manner and also the dives. Doesn’t fit the ‘good boy’ image of someone like Rashford, Barkley or Winks for example.

Yes I’d completely agree with that. He’s far from the finished package but if/when he matures and learns when to release the ball and when to take his man on or try a bit of skill, he could be brilliant.
