Aurier like Sanchez is too much of a liability. Was a better performance from him until he let himself down with the goal. You won't be able to trust these players against top opposition in big matches. They'll let you down.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats not right they let us down against crap opposition as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well against any team better than Saints we'd have lost. Although blame also has to go to the other end for not finishing off chances, for Jose's subs, and for Levy for leaving us with no striker. The latter being maybe the worst thing of the lot.

Everybody pre match was saying Southampton were a top team, and in form, and were going to wipe the floor with Spurs.
I was one of the few that said Spurs would negotiate this tricky tie this afternoon.

I thought Dele done ok as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What? He and Son were our worst players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is just your agenda piping up again.
Dele should’ve come away with two assists. He was absolutely fine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dele was awful. Sorry but accepting shet performances like this is part of the problem. We should expect far better. He's not the only one, I agree.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Awful ffs
What more can he do but two chances on a plate for our forwards?
3 key chances he created the most of everyone in our team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He isn't he player he once was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he's way better than he was when he was scoring more goals, everyone used to complain about his performances constantly despite getting a lot of goals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’ve got to be kidding. His all round game is not good enough
----------------------------------------------------------------------
defensive numbers always v good, v creative too and earlier on in the season when he looked less leggy he actually seemed to improve as a ball carrier (8 dribbles in one game)
range of passing has always been lacking, as has his ability to drive with the ball over longer distances, and by being so creative he gives it away a lot but he is good. very good and very important.

No chance as sandy said this would definitely not happen
Why is it every team Spurs face, our supporters make out like it is Spurs playing peak Barcelona
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because our fans are used to hiding behind excuses instead of watching games with their eyes open maybe
feel like some on this board would prefer players to play like gedson (never getting on the ball and therefore never giving it away) rather than actually having an impact and trying to make things happen, even if that means losing possession
tell you what its a good thing bruno didn't join us, he would have been crucified because of how much he gives the ball away
feel like some on this board would prefer players to play like gedson
----------------------------------------------------------------------
creative midfield players are always going to give the ball away as they dont have the luxury of playing safe they HAVE to make something happen.
Dele done ok today he put both Son and Moura thru with just the keeper to beat and I dont know what more people expect when most of the time his is our furthest player forward
I just want to play with a striker.
Feel like it’s just pure arrogance not to
I just want to play with a striker

I just want us to have an available striker
Dear Levy,
Please sign us a striker.

My problem is him giving it away needlessly even when he’s not taking a risk. This is both via holding on for it too long, miscontrolling it and overhitting passes / having them intercepted

I wont deny that he does that from time to time but I dont think he is often giving many suitable options to do otherwise at the moment. Son and Moura have been dreadful from that point of view.
Grandspur unhappy because Spurs drew away in the cup at a team from the same division.
Most supporters would have been going out celebrating back in the day, getting a draw away in an FA Cup match.

I do not blame Grand at all for being unhappy - if he is.
We have enough of a cluttered schedule as it is, without accumulating extra matches.
I'm hoping we can still do something in the CL.....without Eriksen!
