Moura only gets a 7 for scoring. I reckon we'll look a much better side with Dele or Lo Celso in there

Most of the teams at the top of the table, other than City, only beat the dross to accumulate most of their points, so I am not having that is all Spurs have beaten.

Should keep the doomsters quite for a bit at least. Next defeat though will bring all the Jose out brigade back.

LOL, Spurs get a thumping win, and all posters like Dave can talk about is me. Get a life fella. Enjoy Spurs winning instead of posting about me all the time. It cannot be good for your health.

Made such a difference having Aurier and Regulion back in tandem, instead of the two plodders in Davides and Doherty.

Embarrassing stuff. City have just won 15 games on the trot, which is the majority of the league. But yeah, they only beat the dross.

And Spurs since winning the last NLD have beaten Sheff Utd, WBA, Burnley (three teams in the bottom 4) and Leeds Utd, currently bottom half. So yes, in the last three months we have only beaten dross. All the top half teams we’ve played - Liverpool x2, City, West Ham, Leicester, Chelsea have all beaten us in that run, along with Brighton, plus dropped points against Palace, Fulham and Wolves - all of whom we were beating. How anyone can defend the form on paper is beyond me, anyone that actually watched the games and saw the appalling performances surely could not. The second Liverpool game, Chelsea and Brighton games in particular were awful, but the Leicester one gives them all a run and the tactics vs Wolves were a disgrace to this clubs name.

So yes, there will be criticism. When people are brought in on big money because of their expertise and they fail to perform they get criticism. That’s not just football, that is any business.

And I don’t agree with everyone sucking each other off because we’ve turned a pizz poor Burnley team over. Good performance, good result, but it’ll take more than that to make up for the last 3 months. The team and squad is good IMO, and it’s very satisfying to see Sissoko dropped and a more positive approach being taken. Long may it continue. One game at a time, but days like today - seeing Reggie playing again and a fit and firing Bale, give me more belief that we can still achieve something ie turn City over and win the cup or go on to win the EL. We have to put that bad form behind us and try to use today as a catalyst for a better run.

One game at a time now.

Basically this.

Ultimately we are now relying on a lot of teams to have a shocker to make top 4 (which has been gone for a month). One swallow does not make a song.

Football fans have always been reactionary. After a win, everything's rosy. After a loss, the world is ending. You have to look at the whole picture to get a sense of the club's trajectory, and this season has been gash. An easy win against a terrible Burnley side changes nothing.

I don't think it has been entirely gash. Son and Kane’s form had us top of the league. We're in one cup final and still going in the others.

I appreciate what you're saying about being reactionary, but you're displaying recency bias. Yeah recent results have been crap but performances are improving. And I have to take issue with saying that 'a win changes nothing'. Two convincing wins in a row breeds confidence. Scoring a bunch of goals helps individuals' stay in form.

Aside all that, even if you want to insist it's been gash on the pitch.. We've fielded our youngest ever player, and we've got youngsters impressing out on loan who should be much improved and ready to join the squad next season. So it's not all bad.

I would give the season so far, all things considered, about a 5 out of 10. Could end up much higher with how we play and what we do from now on but yeah I don't think "gash" is that far from the truth.

Would finishing 8th equate as ‘gash’?

I’d say anything outside of top 6 would be no matter the circumstances of the league

Total bollox from Sandy as usual. Or is that Mr Positive? I lose track.

I haven’t been ‘Jose Out’ all season at all. I’ve been clear from day one that he wouldn’t have been my choice. But, this season I took a stance of let’s see what he can do and reassess at the end of the season. I decided I had had enough around the Liverpool, Brighton & Chelsea disastrous week because the performances & tactics were disgraceful and the results were awful. 11 points from 12 games and with those performances is unacceptable and I am totally within my rights to call for the managers head.

However, as per my article yesterday I accept he is going nowhere, I support the club and while ever it is possible we can achieve something this season we have to keep going and believing.

It’s interesting that Sandy ran away when our form dipped after telling all and sundry that we’d win the league with a bit to spare for 3 months beforehand. No comment on that awful form or the awful performances & tactics within. Far far far too much of a coward to have an objective conversation, just continues with his wummery and hypocritical agenda. Quality of conversation and content on here has nosedived since his return.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great post again πŸ‘. He’s a fair weather supporter. Only has something to say when the fixtures are favourable. Cowardice of the highest or order. Time to filter the WUM

I'd take 7th place and the Europa trophy. But yeah otherwise I think we'd have to say that's gash. Can we stop calling a disappointing season gash btw? I like gash.
