Back from Turf Moor about half an hour ago. Thoughts on the game are that it was a decent if unspectacular win, we were ok without being amazing. They ran out of steam second half - apart from a little burst near the end - and really we should’ve won by more.

Our MOTM for me was Royal. He had a lot of the ball and looked technically good on it. Doesn’t have frightening pace but still got behind a lot and put some decent crosses in, and wasn’t afraid to put himself about at the back. Also looked to have a good link up with Lucas - lots of good lay offs between them and Lucas was working hard to track back and help him out.

We looked a lot better generally when Lucas came on, he gave us more energy. Other positive was Romero again - attacks the ball really aggressively, especially with his head and is good on it when stepping out. He does wander quite high upfield, but PEH seems to hold for him when he does.

Negatives were the fact we had to use a near enough PL 11 to get past Burnley in the EFL cup with such a big game at the weekend. Surely one of Dele or Winks could’ve been used. Also, Kane - another pretty lethargic performance in which he carried little threat and his touch was crap. No doubt he’s in the worst form of his career, as mentioned after the west ham game I’d have no objections to dropping him. I’m still not feeling it with Bergwijn. Gollini too worried me with the ball at his feet - not sure what he offers that Gazza didn’t, his biggest asset seems to be his ability to time waste.

Our fans were mustard - there were loads of empty seats in the stadium and not much atmos, but the away section was full and all the noise was coming from our lot. Gave Lennon a great reception too when he was warming up in that corner.

Driving home I nearly wanted to puke at the West Ham love in on the radio. Anyone would think they’d just won the comp, rather than knocking City out on pens to reach a QF. As ever their fans couldn’t just enjoy the moment without mentioning us - six of them phoned up the radio and all six mentioned Spurs, they are the most small time mugs going, the obsess over us then deny it to the hilt. My annoyance wasn’t helped by that utter mug O’Hara acting as the self appointed voice of Spurs fans, saying we’d take 14th and bottom London club if we could win the Carabao Cup. Fack off mate.

Yeh I listened to it on way to the gym last night and got to admit, I was astounded he said he was happy with 16th and winning a league cup. Nuno would be sacked way before that and too right. I desperately want a trophy, but not so we can finish 16th. Anyway, incoming loss against a damaged United team Sunday, guarantee. We got no chance.

O'Hara is such a dim-witted tool. Gets it wrong all the time. When we first appointed Jose, he was being interviewed outside the ground and really buzzing thinking we were going to win trophies. If I hadn't thought it was a bad appointment at the time I would have done after seeing that. On Talksport I heard him dismiss Potter as a potential replacement like he was some low achieving Championship manager, only to make a U-turn weeks later saying we should go for him.

I still remember when we he was a Portsmouth player (on loan) when we played them in the FA Cup and he was on TV talking like he was really behind Portsmouth to get the win. What a mug!

He's alright to be fair.

Just a bit of an idiot and like Ace says seems to now have a platform where he has become something of the 'go to' guy for Spurs opinions when his opinions are rubbish.
