Oh and bubbles, how do you come to the conclusion that pienaar would make the spurs side when as proved he barely got a game for us Pienaar is one of Evertons star players, Pienaar was nothing but a fringe player for spurs....if theres any way to dismantle you're argument then there it is. Mirales? What because he had a good game tonight bubbles back on the knee jerk reaction he is famous for. Everton are a good side but not as good as spurs and will not be battling for 4th. Only Baines, Jakelka and possibly Fellani would make the spurs 1st 11.

Don, don't bother With bubbles and his bullsheeit.

Everyone knows that everton are a good side, but we have proved year on year now that we are at present a better side.

They have got off to a flyer and we have had a terrible start, and we are still only 2 points behind with same number of games played.

well i would say at most 3 seasons spurs have been better than everton but without getting carried away we are only 2 points better off than spurs at the moment with the same number of games played with the same goal difference. still a very long, hard season ahead but i would definitely expect spurs to be up there come the end of the season

joely... i agree and i would expect everton to be around the top 6 along with us, and i expect a very tough game at goodison, as per usual.

"that's why everton come 7th last season and we got 4th. We are better than everton and i think deep down you know it"

Last season Spurs finished 4th and Chelsea 6th but everybody knows Chelsea are better than Spurs. And even though Arsenal finished above Spurs AGAIN, it does not stop a large amount of Spurs fans deluding themselves into thinking they are better than their north london 'rivals'.

As for analysis on Pienaar, well that makes no sense really. He was not managed correctly at Spurs, under a better manager like Moyes he has become a top player. Look at Cahill, bench warmer at Aston Villa, Champions League winner at Chelsea, Arteta a squad player at Everton, now vice captain at Arsenal. You should stop looking to the past and now look at the present in which Everton are without the strongest team outside the current top 4.

santos andreas. much of what you say is true.

but you are still a mug if you believe that Everton are currently a consistently better side than Spurs.

Last season we were a more consistent team (if not better) than chelsea, which is why we finished higher in the league.

everton havent finished above us for a good while now, and wont again this season IMO.

squad is not strong enough, although their first 11 is very tricky.

you finished above us last season because we were stuck with a halfwit at the helm for most of the campaign, plus we also had the cup competitions to focus on!

would agree that you are better than Everton though

yeah but we had facking redknapp who couldnt care less about spurs any more as soon as the media gave him the england job !

going a bit off topic here but imo one of the strongest teams outside the top 4 is Fulham

to be fair that's where i think we (everton) could come unstuck. spurs have a stronger squad than us. when it comes to first 11 vs first 11 it is debateable but the season consists of squads and the key is injuries and suspensions and if everton take a few injuries then that's where we could come unstuck

Everton for me are something of a big game team who but always seem to let themselves down against the minnows-they're getting results against United or Chelsea one week and losing to relegation fodder the next

it was only last season that Spurs worked out how to beat the minnows on a consistent basis

to be honest i am well up for everton coming above liverpool again

posted on 18/9/12

it's amazing how toothless Liverpool are, i was watching them against Arsenal, they could have kept on playing til Christmas and wouldn't have scored. and to think that back in August Skybet had Rodgers 5/4 to win a trophy this season

@ grand theft auto, so ignore the fact that spurs have finished above Everton for a number of years now What because you want to try and convince yourself of something that's not true. We come above chelsea last season over a 38 game period, we were the better side overall in the league. You finished above us by 1 point meaning you are near enough on par with us same as chelsea are near enough on par with us. Stop trying to delude yourself into thinking Arsenal are miles ahead of us because you are not, you are level with us and still are this season. You are not better than us.

Ok don if you say so.

Yes i did say so and it's true aswell , can't handle it

You are entitled to your opinion, as ridiculous as I find it.

You finished 1 point above us last season, don't see how you can justify calling my point "ridiculous" ... Flat track bullys as you are and beating southampton 6-1 at home won't change my mind. You beat blackburn 7-1 not so long ago remember.

arsenal are indeed flat track bullies.

city will wack them this weekend

And about 2 weeks later put another 5 past your lot.

posted on 18/9/12

My point is, all you arsenal fans are getting ahead of yourself as always because of a good start and a thrashing of southampton, you have thrashed teams before and ended up being disappointed with you're side so it won't be long before you're all moaning again.
