This was always a problem playing him up front on his own, Ade gets goals and assists, Defoe should be our super sub

exactly asian, AVB seems to have bought this tough mentality to spurs where we don't always collapse completely although we come close to it quiet a few times. Still improvements needed but the results are what counts and AVB is getting the results and doing a very good job so far.

defoe's done as well as anyone would i reckon.

he's held the ball up well in most of the games when it's come to him. he has a great understanding with lennon, and links well with most of our players.

you dont get the pre madonna stuff with JD that you get with ade. no pointless fouls, no showing off for the sake of it.

I'd be happy to see both of them, but would rather we stick with Defoe if he's going to play one or the other. His shooting was off today, but overall this season he's comfortably merited retaining his place in the side. quite a turn around from last season when harry wouldnt give him a sniff of a game even though he was our leading scorer in all comps until the last week of the season.
