So it looks like the Turkeys are getting to the desperate stage now that their attendances are plummeting

If I could draw your attention to the following article that shows, among other things, the average attendances for the SPL clubs for this season so far and last season.

Rangers return to the SPL or reconstructed top flight. Watch the season ticket prices fly up and the attendences drop at ibrox.

So only celtic have suffered a drop in attendence and any loss there is balanced by the Champs League....this is a disaster i tells ya
Chuman
Obviously there's a slight skewering in that some teams have had a home game against Celtic and others not, but it doesn't look like attendances have been hit too hard so far. We'll have a better idea after half the matches have been played as that way everyone will have played each other home and away.
United's is massively skewered as we've already had our home games against Dundee, Aberdeen and Celtic.

Well done on taking the time to put it together Ivan
Its easy for people to flap their gums about these things without stats to put it into perspective. Dont expect many bears to thank you though.
ivan
how did you get celtics attendances when most weeks they aren't published
ah like statistics chuman...especially ivans. it shows that we are a better support that you lot
I got the attendance stats off the ESPN website. I tried to tally the Celtic ones particularly as I knew those would be questioned through the BBC website and through Wiki but they only had details of the first 5 games attendances and not the attendances for the last two games.

The fickle nature of football TRFC.
The reality is that rangers will have to work their way back up the leagues. (which i dont doubt most of your support would want) Nobody is going to wave a magic wand and take us back to the way things were last year.
So what statistic regarding attendance really matters? So some clubs attendances have risen a few hundred or thousand this season but is that the most important statistic?
Surely it is the overall attendance for the SPL in a season that matters. And that figure will be down, with Dundee replacing Rangers it will make a massive difference to the overall attendance. And that is the figure that will affect the SPL when it comes to getting a sponsor and a TV deal.
cant do anything about it.
Surely the rangers support wouldnt want their club lifted through the leagues purely for the benefit of those clubs that didnt vote you in?

17k for a Scottish Cup Quarter-Final.

Since when was 17k worse that 14k

I said big games.
I'd say a Scottish Cup Quarter-Final against Dundee Utd is slightly bigger than a midweek Cooperative Cup tie against Raith effing Rovers.
it is all about the tv money. if sky say they want change it will happen.
