Clarke is very, very raw and his performance from February onwards was pretty awful. He's got a lot of potential but in reality had 4 good games last season (Bristol, Villa, Forest, Derby). Not certain that he would have repeated his good cameos again next season, so if a player has to leave, then this is the least bad option. The criticism you can make is that if he goes and has a great season, he's worth ten million more.
