Larne Football Club is a professional Northern Irish football club based in Larne, County Antrim that play in the NIFL Premiership.

After being taken over by Purplebricks co-founder Kenny Bruce in October 2018, the club lifted the 2018–19 NIFL Championship title. This was the club's first ever senior tier league title, their first league title since an intermediate title win in 1972, and the first senior honour since lifting the Ulster Cup in 1988. This secured a return to the top flight for the first time since suffering relegation to the second tier in the 2007–08 season after failing to meet the criteria for the new IFA Premiership.

Bournemouth have appointed Jason Tindall as their manager following the exit of Eddie Howe.

Howe left the club by mutual consent after their Premier League relegation at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Tindall has stepped up from his role as assistant manager and takes over on a three-year contract at the club where he played 199 games.

"It's an honour and a privilege to be the manager of such a great football club," the 42-year-old said.

Bournemouth had been in the top flight for five years before dropping back to the Championship.

"Given the success of the club over the past 12 years, with Eddie in charge and me by his side, I'm not going to come in and rip everything up and start again," Tindall added.

"I would be a fool to do that. But I'm my own person with my own ideas and I will be looking to implement them as soon as we get back on the training ground.

"I know the Championship is a very tough league, but my aim is to get this club back into the Premier League at the first time of asking."

Sarri guided Juventus to a ninth straight Serie A title but they were knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon at the last-16 stage.

Juve won 2-1 in Turin on Friday but the French side progressed on away goals.

Italian Sarri, 61, was appointed on a three-year contract last summer after one year at Premier League club Chelsea.

Juventus lost three of their last four league matches to finish only one point clear of Inter Milan in the end.

Juventus have appointed Andrea Pirlo as manager to replace the sacked Maurizio Sarri, a week after hiring the former midfielder as Under-23 boss.

The Italian giants sacked Sarri after just one season despite winning Serie A following the club's Champions League last-16 defeat by Lyon on Friday.

Pirlo, 41, has signed a two-year deal until June 2022.

The former Italy midfielder was only named the club's Under-23 manager on 30 July.

Juventus said the decision to promote him is "based on the belief that Pirlo has what it takes to lead from his debut on the bench, an expert and talented squad to pursue new success".

Pirlo played 164 games for Juventus between 2011 and 2015 and won four Serie A titles in Turin after joining from AC Milan, with whom he spent most of his career and won two Champions League and two league titles.

President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus is seeking a sixth term in office in an election he is both tipped to win but which is also likely to be his toughest challenge yet.

He won previous elections by a landslide but the votes were condemned by election observers.

This time though he has a prominent rival in a 37-year-old who is running in place of her jailed husband.

Belarus has also seen large opposition protests and a row with Russia.
