Ex-Wednesday striker Lucas Joao claimed his 21st goal of the season with a composed finish after being teed up by Andy Yiadom who then rifled in a low third to wrap up the scoring.

Ferry Aid were a British-American ensemble group, brought together to record the song "Let It Be" in 1987. The single was released following the Zeebrugge Disaster; on 6 March 1987 the ferry MS Herald of Free Enterprise had capsized, killing 193 passengers and crew. All proceeds from sales of the single were donated to the charity set up in the aftermath of the disaster. The recording was organised by The Sun newspaper, after it had sold cheap tickets for the ferry on that day. "Let It Be" was written by Paul McCartney and originally recorded by The Beatles in 1970.

West Brom and Newcastle battled to a goalless draw at the Hawthorns that will do little to ease either side's Premier League relegation fears.

The Magpies had the better opportunities in a game lacking attacking fluency, but West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was alert to deny Jonjo Shelvey and Joe Willock either side of half-time.

Mbaye Diagne had the best chance for the Baggies when his header was tipped behind by Martin Dubravka, while Matt Phillips fired over when well placed early in the second half.

The draw means West Brom stay 19th and are now eight points from safety. Newcastle move above Brighton into 16th, four points clear of the bottom three.

Pope Francis has visited parts of northern Iraq that were held by Islamic State (IS) militants on the third day of his historic trip to the country.

Christians were among those targeted by IS when they seized the region in 2014, carrying out human rights abuses.

The Pope prayed among ruined churches in Mosul, the former IS stronghold, before meeting Christians in Qaraqosh.

Celebrating Mass at a stadium in Irbil, the last big set piece of his visit, he said Iraq would remain in his heart.

Thousands of people attended the service despite Covid concerns.

Scott Parker said there was "a lot of emotion" after his Fulham side secured a crucial win to give their survival hopes a huge boost and continue Liverpool's incredible slump.

Mario Lemina's goal on the stroke of half-time, after the Gabon midfielder had dispossessed Mohamed Salah, inflicted a sixth successive Premier League home defeat on the Reds and saw Parker's side draw level on 26 points with 17th-placed Brighton.

It was Fulham's first win at Anfield since 2012, while champions Liverpool are now struggling to finish in the top four after another uninspired performance at home.

The Reds, who won the title last season by 18 points, had gone 68 home league matches unbeaten before their current run started with a loss to Burnley in January.

The average woman in her twenties today will retire with £100,000 less in her pension than her male peers, research suggests.

Pension firm Scottish Widows said women would have to work an extra 40 years if they wanted to close the gap.

It blamed their lower average earnings, higher probability of working part-time and heavier childcare burden.

The government said its pension reforms had helped millions more women save for retirement.
