Oh, you can blame Wenger as much as you want and rightly so. He has scr.ewed up the club big time in the last 3 years.
But that doesn't make anyone else a saint. To believe that now that he's gone, all will be rosy is naive to say the least. Especially when you see the current shamble at the management level.

Aye. I think he left it way too long to fire Wenger. In my opinion if he had put Josh Kroenke on the board a few years earlier he would have noticed how Alexis, Ozil, Ramsey etc were being allowed to run down their contracts.

So out of all the mgmt team Wenger was solely to blame for the running down of player contracts 🤔

Wenger controlled everything. I don't think it was a secret that Gazidis deferred to him on the decision making regarding players.
What would you have said if Kroenke or Gazidis had ordered Ozil and Alexis to be sold against Wenger's wishes?

It is literally impossible for Wenger to have controlled everything
100% he wasn't the one negotiating contracts or deciding on how much we bid for players
